I was also deafened when I woke up because my ears were ringing form the voice making an "EEEEEE" sound. This cleared up a few min after I woke up and I could see and hear again.
This dream happened a second tim months later but never again. Both times had the same after effect...

On the subject of dreams... I have had a lot of nightmares. Always the same scenario but in different settings. Some baby needs to be killed, regularly demon babies.

Incoming dream dump.
>First one
>At the local supermarket with my son (2 years old)
>Demon babies enter
>Son is playing in the supermarket, knocking shit over like 2 year olds do
>Demon babies come after him
>I have to slay them while he is happily playing.

In total I have had 5 or 6 baby-killing nightmares over the last year. Just last night, though I have had a different nightmare, that hasnt happened for over a year. However it didnt start as a nightmare.
