I'd say take profit in relation to your confidence. So, if you are 70% sure it will go up, take 30% profit. Seems reasonable. Or maybe a scale, but that's the general idea. The less sure you are, the more profit you take.

One popular thing with a stock trending up, if you like short term trades, is to set a stop loss and then increase it as the stock rises. Like at 6% below current value or something. Then you will never sell at the absolute peak but you can ride the rise and not eat shit when it crashes. Update the stop loss every couple of hours or something. That's got some pros and cons.
