I remember April 2017 well. I had just started my new programming job and a coworker began talking about ETH. I was aware of BTC but never followed the price regularly. I checked the price that night and was blown away that it had already moved over 100% since the last time I even considered to check. This thing has rallied non stop for months, going completely unnoticed by me.

Same shit right now. I am exposed to technology more so than the average person in my career, and crypto is creeping back into the normal persons awareness.

Just generally, I want oldfags to offer more intel on why a coin might be pumping or dumping, in various threads. Threads for any popular alts. Do some TA for 'em, maybe, or analyze their TA, do some classic "oldfag here" stories in more threads, etc.
Oldfags chime in once in a while and it's literally almost always welcome, unless they're fun-killing Bobos. Even then it gets the newfags thinking harder than they would have been otherwise.
I'm being very vague because there's actually already another active thread or two where oldfags are discussing how this current bullrun feels compared to 2017. My main point still stands, enjoy your stay. We need more voices of reason. Maybe your advice will drive some of this insane volatility down, too.

We are a decent way out from true mania. An entire slack channel at work was filled with people discussing their trades. I remember being in a discord with what I feel like was over 100 other people, everyone watching their coins make insane moves, people literally making it left and right.

At the time I didn't have the cash to truly make a difference, my coins went to about 30k total, I consolidated them all into BTC, ETH, and LTC. I still have them but I am going to average into ETH and BTC now.

Totally. The board feels nothing like it was in Dec 2017. It was absolute chaos, threads were way more active, a fuck ton of blockfolio threads all the time.
