1Dash.net has got a (small) usability update, the resize is handled much better now. Also, all changes are autosaved, so you don't have to hit the save button anymore. Hence the save/reload buttons have been removed.

If you can't reash http://1dash.net for some reason, try www.1dash.net for the time being.

The charts seem to suggest that the pool is starting to work. Cheers! And goodnight!

How the fuck does that work? So if you mine 1 BTC and it's at 1000$/BTC, you'd pay tax at 1000$

But then how does that make ANY sense when 2 months later your 1 BTC and it's worth 300$? Is there a -700$ capital loss you get to claim?

i cannot figure this shit out, how is it in ANY way fair? It assumes you cash out IMMEDIATELY to USD, that's the only way you're not getting screwed

Mining on bamboohouse now is shooting yourself in the foot. All you wold be doing is making the coin value go down. By mining on the multipool, it makes the price go up.

yeah, but they give the impression that if you weren't there early you missed the train.

I'm in favor of lowering the block reward to a trickle, but it should be announced well in advance. The multipool (although a great idea) is useless until then.

We could also have a "PND fund", where we keep say 1/10 of the coins we mine. These coins would be redistributed say every month or two to PND holders. This way we're not just contributing to the general pump and dump scheme of things. The fund could also give a percentage to charity or something.

Not all PoS coins have their peak while PoW time. And besides of that, where is the difference to pure PoW then? You can dump PoW as much at any peak. No stability in the market, everything depends on difficulty and reward.

Cool. Right now I don't think people have doubts if the multipool is cheating since it is experimental and all, some just have a basic need for information for example to see the direct impact on the market and that is why actual prices would be nice.

Because of the nature of PoW markets, people dump them as soon as they appear, calculating actual profitability and not for the future.

holy shit.
I remember when the doge community was actually progressive and open for constructive criticism, everyone was trying to find ways to get this shit forward but now it's nothing but WHOA MOOLAH IS THE MAN! PALMER IS THE MAN! LOOK I HAVE A PHYSICAL COIN!! LOOK WATER! LOOK, NASCAR!

the dogecoin community is really like that one dog who's sitting in his flame engulfed living room, saying everything is okay

I have a question.

If I have 200k DOGE in my wallet without touching it (not upgrading or anything when it forks), will it be "invalidated" by the blockchain if I don't upgrade?

Or can something like that only happen if I actually send coins with an old client?

Yes. The old client that might be on a wrong fork will invalidate the coins when sending. As long as they are in place nothing will happen to the balance.

What I don't like about it is that it looks like all the other shitcoin-of-the-week logos going for that "physical coin" look, with added Chinese characters to emphasize that we're trying to exploit that market.

Kawaii panda is fun and friendly, which is closer to reality than the srs bsns look of the coin logo.
