Your question was actually the inspiration for the Edition. I did some more research: the coin you see pictured there is a 50 dinara, the last circulating silver coin in Yugoslavia. It was minted into the late 1930s.
Prior to WWI, there were other lower denominations of Silver coins and even some Gold ones.

Yea I own some Metalla that I bought back in June. Wouldn't call it a cheap royalty stock anymore, but they're a pretty great company. they have a royalty for Fosterville which might be the best royalty out there right now, and they also have the Cortez Trend royalty for the Barrick and Newmont jv in Nevada.
I haven't comfirmed it but I hear they're silver heavy which I think you'd probably want to be for the next year at minimum. I'd buy them. Also a big fan of EMX and I think they'll perform well. Rick Rule called them the pound for pound smartest team out there.

otherwise they won't rise.

a rise in price alone represents speculation with no underlying industrial demand, so miners don't upshift. A rise in demand but not price is no incentive to increase production until price catches up.

both of these situations need to last long enough for known reserves to be exploited, usually 6 months for an existing operation and up to 3 years for a mine not in production.

and while it takes months to years of bull markets to start new mines, it only takes a couple months of a bear market to shut them down. Thus the lag in miners. We take forever to open up, but close in a matter of seconds.

I live in a town with a classic primary ore deposit and the usual accompanying supergene

we have on top iron-gold (rose gold), followed by yellow, pure gold, and then white silver-gold, and at the bottom green gold (copper-gold). Much like the black hills gold, we have all of the colors in a single mine or ore body.

we used to have a cottage industry of jewelers that made pieces of muli-colored Leadville gold, just like the Black Hills gold. I'd love to see you do something similar with your collection, that would be beautiful. Our stuff commands a premium of 1000X or higher just for the rarity of the location material. Yours would be unique and really cool.

If you come to Colorado I can show you all this first hand on the mountain and in the rock. But the gold wires crystals are really the main attraction. The rest is just details.

I'm actually not a fan of them just because I like .999/.9999 coins much more (Old silver markka's have a very low silver concentration, like 35%, later markka coins don't even have silver in them except commemorative coins). Silver Markka coins are very plentiful and available though, easy to get via internet auctions.
I guess I could scout a bit and see if I can cop a few for a cheap price, just for you anon. Or maybe I could go ask my grandparents, I'm sure they still have some around. Definitely! It wasn't even valued badly, it weighs almost 900g and is made entirely of Sterling silver, and I paid 500€ for it. When you do the math it's a very fair price, and I'm not even sure I want to sell it anymore lol.

We don't even have refineries where you can just march in and ask the guys to refine your silver like you guys do in NA. We do have ones where you can go sell your junk metal and get some money though but no place where you can go and ask them to make you a bar or something. Same goes for LCS', we don't have those. We do have some web stores that specialize in coins but those are too expensive. There's just too little demand for those things here. Whenever I decide to start selling some of my metals I'll have to either sell to a bullion dealer abroad (or get less money and sell to a bullion dealer here in Finland) or use an online auction website and sell the coins one by one

I guess there is some historical value but not much numismatic value at least over here in Finland. Everybody seems to have some Markka's lying around. Hell, I might have some hidden somewhere in my apartment too. The commemoratives have more silver in them and probably hold more value as collectibles too.
