You can choose to long even harder (higher multiplier) but that means you're taking on more risk (your liquidation price converges to your buying price "mark price"). If actual price hits that liquidation price, you lose everything on that account. To increase the gap between mark price and liquidation price you can opt to add more margin (add more USD, and don't short/long any further, just let it sit there)
