At what age / education level / income level did you start investing or studying it?
Currently I'm:

>26 years old in Scandinavia with a MSc in CS
>0$ student loans
>make $80k a year as a software engineer (first job)
>saving around 2700$ a month

Feels like its the perfect time to get into it. Started reading about economics/investing last month (like going through the sticky and the general threads documentations) and want to start buying stocks and crypto soon and hold them for at least a year and see what happens.

Nice we are neighbors (DK). What tax rate do you pay? I pay 38% after I paid for private pension and phone tax. Also how's your growth like since the past 1.5 years on your crypto?

>26 years old
>Scandinavia

>$78 a year before I quit my job

I bought my first stocks around Februrary at the peak and lost a good chunk, because I had paper hands and no knowledge. I would have made pretty good money if I just hold.
Been in crypto since 2013 though, lost pretty much all my gains back in 2017 but I am now definitely overall in the green.

However I am looking into swing trading since I have access to a nice pile of money that I should realistically be able to profit ~6–7% a month consistently with little work.

Where did you get your MSc Scandibro? Got mine from ITU, now I am reading machine learning at KU for a year or two.

Sounds good. So did you get BTC early? Do you invest more in tech because you understand the products better?

Also got mine at AAU. My ex-coworkers were from DTU/KU. My current co-workers are from CBS. Seems like we're both in cph ;)

I bought when it was around ~$900, just before the 2013 crash where it went down to $300. My friends sold and took their lose, I managed to hold which was a good strategy time would tell.
At the time it was mostly just a YOLO thing, just started at uni and found BTC interesting, thought it would be fun to have some.

Lived my entire life (except for a few months abroad) in Copenhagen, great city, impossible to buy a home here with a regular salary though.

You haven't invested/speculated in anything yet? Stocks, crypto etc

>> No.24091285

Not yet. You must be a good person to ask then: which danish trader do I use? a friend of mine uses saxo. How does it work with taxes?

Bought BTC for the first time when I was 16, but started actually investing big bucks only when I turned 18 and got a first actual job, before that I had $0

>Currently I'm:
>21y/o in Czech Rep, studying law
>$0 debt
>make $1.3k a month with part-time government job + side-hustle (videoediting)
>$10k in ETF
>$60k in crypto markets (BTC,ETH,LINK)
>$1k in gold/silver

pretty happy about the way things are going right now, turned my life around drastically in just 2 years thanks to LINK
