if you're looking at stock investing as a vehicle for retirement then just put in in some index fund and that's that. Not much there to discuss, you shouldn't really touch it after that trying to time the market.
The only reason you'd be micromanaging stocks is if you're looking to do the same thing that cryptofags are doing, and you'll get the same results as them as well.
