Normies are actually more self aware ( like to hope) than people give them credit for, but the issue is that it's more comfortable to just accept your fate and the prospect of never being rich because to them they don't believe they CAN be rich. They're sold on the idea that the task is so insurmountable that you have to have to live and breathe something all day every day including weekends to be successful (and sometimes you do).

Basically what I'm getting at is they are aware of their situation, but they care more about watching the next season of whatever that popular netflix show is. Not that I'm any better, motherfuckers better know I'm waiting for overlord season 4 and ngnl season 2. But at the same time I did the research to buy into crypto early

The idea of doing the same shit every normal person does on a daily basis for the next 40 years of my life is absolutely appaling. Well I'm not a massively successful guy because frankly I'm a lazy bastard, but I'm currently worth around 90k from an initial investment of $8k. I got this money by living at home and putting everything I had into BTC and LINK during the bear market. I've been on /biz/ since back when the money skele memes were a thing and you could buy ETH for $20 though. Problem was I also NEETed at the time, had no money, and therefore didn't really research crypto very much.

Ironically it's because I too was demoralized and thought there was no way I could make it in crypto. But the reality was that it would have been as easy as dumping my paycheck into ETH and waiting. Buying LINK for $1 has completely changed my mindset and probably the course of my life. I literally cannot imagine what my life would be like right now if I did not know about crypto. It's going to be interesting seeing movies like the wolf of wallstreet but with weeb NEETs instead of wall street coke addicts. I imagine though in the future the crypto that haven't even been developed yet as you say will have people jealous of the opportunity that once was, not unlike how by all accounts normal people lament at not buying microsoft or apple stocks 20 years ago.

Think about it, if you're 25 now you have about 40 years until you want to retire.
Now, given an average return of roughly 7% on your investments if you put it in an index fund of the sp500, you'll double that money every 10 years even when accounting for inflation. This means that after 40 years every dollar you put in now will be worth 16 times as much in today's value in dollars as when you put it in, put 1000$ in now, and in 40 years you'll have 16000$.
Just put away money every month into your account and you'll be able to retire by 50 of your job isn't shit

People often sacrifice their early career to live a bohemian life, thinking it will give them a deeper insight and some type of "answers".

Most of these young people aren't prepared for a possibility in which they emerge on the other side after 5 years ... with no answers.

There are no answers in life. There is only freedom, and the only way to get freedom is with money.

If you're average IQ and get a good education (I'm assuming you're too retarded to make it on your own) then it's pretty easy to make $50k+/ year POST tax after a few years in a wealthy country. If you're smart or somewhat hard-working then you should be able to make $80k+ post tax.
If you invest 30%-50% of that money into a diversifed portfolio (mainly index funds) then you will reach $500k+ pretty quickly.

It's imprinted on the female brain. I am moving with my gf next month and she already has a mental list of "things I need new ones of" I've already shot her down multiple times. "Your desk is so old, you need a new one" My desk is about 3 years old. Literally nothing is wrong with it. Women just like spending. I at least have her hooked on things like fb market for furnishing our new place at a good bargain. Still:
mattress is 2 years old "need a new one!"
Sheets on mattress are 3 years old "New one!"
Clothing is 4 years old: "You need new clothes!"

I am frugal both for the sake of finance and I have become slightly more conscious about environmentalism. I know what I do makes 0 difference for the earth. It's just that I've become more disgusted by things like the pile of 20 "coupon newspaper" that get plopped on my apartments complexes front door step, and then immediately put in the trash every single week because no one reads them and no one asked for them. I don;t recycle because I know from being a garbage man for 1 year that recycling is an outright lie. The recycling bin goes through a tumbler and then straight into the landfill. Its interesting, the average Norwegian has an incredible high net worth (approx household net worth is 285 780$) but 90% of that is based on insanely high house values and big amounts of debt. The Norwegian people stumbled into wealth by accident because we have a culture of owning our own houses here (95% own their own house, nobody rents) when the housing market went crazy, Norwegians became wealthy.

But it is a terrifying thought that if there is a housing market crash 50% of people's money might disappear over night. They have no other valuable assets, and they spend EVERYthing they earn on stupid shit. Now that immigration is slowing down, house prices have gone from increasing an average 15% yearly to only 2%.

And even more scary, within the next 15 years a quarter of all owners of houses are going to die of old age. Flooding the market with new houses.

No, you don't get it friend.

You should be doing this already. Once you are guaranteed retirement in 40 years, you can start working and planning on how to retire in 30, then 20 and then 10 etc. It is way easier and more tangible to look at your finances and investments this way, because it forces you to plan ahead and schedule. you aren't going to suddenly become rich by luck.

That new gaming PC, that will postpone your retirement one year. That new car? 5 to 10 years at least! Now you can ask yourself the question if those things are worth it and you get a much better perspective in an easy understandable way.

So if you aren't even able to make sure you retire in 40 years, you probably won't make it in 5-10.

The "what if" game is a complete waste of time and energy. The past events in your life had to happen they exact way they did, for you to become the person you are today.

Be thankful that you know what you know now, and you didn't have to learn this wisdom when you were much older. Most people never learn how to successfully navigate life. Hell, most millennials (like my friends) are too shell-shocked from 2007-08 to put a single dollar into investments.

Here's some euphoria:

They do deep down but they use social media and their peer's opinions to drown it out. I know so many bullshitters on facebook advertising their real estate, house flipping, etsy stores on fb acting like they have it made and then opening kickstarter when their dog need surgery or their car breaks down.

Most normies are happy and willing to work forever. The ones I know are annoyed about working from home for so long and miss being in the office and socialising.

It’s interesting

Wait is this really all it takes to be a normie?? How do people not have 2k in the bank? This seems impossible...

I bought a new car in 2016 and paid it off before the year was over... And all student loans shortly after graduating. Do people just go for useless degrees or something in burger land?

Do you guys also HATE spending money? I still have a $200 phone from 2014, computer from 2013, and barely buy anything I do not absolutely need. Can't remember the last time I bought something just because I wanted it.

I have enough money to buy stuff I want, but I still don't do it. Blows my mind that so many normies buy a new phone and other gadgets every year without thinking twice about it.

its actually like tossing a coin. Some normies will be better off (and will truly believe its because of their flawless character and intelect) while others will die. Come to think of it thats how it goes, out of millions of normies theres bound to be some who will get lucky, this way or that way.

Normoids find "living from paycheck to paycheck" normal.
I mean there are a lot of Anon who live the same way here on /biz/, but they at least know they should get their shit together.
For Normies it's the "normal", then they get even more indebted with mortgage, car loans and so on and have to get a partner so they can split the bills. Imagine having to live with someone you don't necessarily love just so you can get by financially.

10kg salt costs 1/10th of the same amount in 250g packets, have you ever coocked without salt?

There is some stuff you'll will always need and can be stored for a long time.

I also have 5kg of red lentils which I will add everywhere where I use ground meat, it's cheaper, tastes better and is more healthy.
