Pulled an absolute rookie move and bought bitcoin and eth on robinhood. How can I transfer my crypto out of this piece of shit app without getting fucked by the tax man? I’ve made about $20k scooping these coins up during the March crash not thinking about how robinhood doesn’t provide a wallet or the ability to transfer

>> No.23957535

Just pay your taxes

Sorry anon, you can't transfer crypto from Robinhood, you have to sell if you want those funds.

I did the exact same. Bought 15 eth in March and sold Friday night when the price was 473. I knew it was going to dip since it couldn't crack 475 and btc was falling. Youre just gonna have to bite the bullet and cash out and take the tax hit.

HOW DOES IT NOT LET YOU TRANSFER HAHAHA IDIOT

You can hope that RobinHood offers a withdraw option in the future. Wouldn't be the craziest thing to happen.

Otherwise either leave it in or pay taxes now.

The likelihood that Robin Hood confiscates or loses your Bitcoin would be significantly bearish news for Bitcoin anyways, so may be a non-issue.

Not sure if you're being cute, but it's not your keys not your crypto.

I did the same mistake anon.

If you keep it in RH you're gonna have to deal with not actually owning it. If not you are goinging to have to sell, transfer to your bank, and then rebuy on a better platform asap and hope the price doesn't moon as the money is transferring around. The process took me about 3 or 4 days to move it.

You don't actually own any bitcoin or eth at all if you bought on RH

>> No.23958963

this was why i didn't do anything on RH.

The Robinhood app is that what most people should know is a "custodian" account.
The bank owns the keys.
Welcome to a brave new world where the globalists systematically implement methods of trade to which the plebs are to own NOTHING.

sorry, you messed up this time anon. I have no idea why, aside from ease of use, people use that app to "buy" crypto
