also when the time comes, be aware that you aren't going to be stuck with dumb prosthesis. You're going to have lidar and haptic feedback and stuff, and if they haven't become commercially available in a product that suits your needs it is relatively easy to DIY. For example there are already white canes for the blind that incorporate these features. I've even seen someone rig up a self-swinging golfclub.
