Do some research on what types of forms insiders have to submit when they buy and sell shares. That type of information in real time is fairly valuable. I can't find the site because I don't remember what it was called, but I remember there was one that had unusual stock information. One of the most interesting pieces was the flight information for private planes and corporate planes. People recommend starting with selling covered calls because their is zero risk from the options part of it.

find a cheap stock that can have options trading, buy 100 shares, and then sell 1 call. if the call actually gets executed you already have the shares, so no risk, only risk comes from the normal stock part, that the stock itself will keep losing value.

I did that with ogi, you could find something like sndl though if you just want to try it for super cheap though.

There are a variety of different strategies you can look into, but it all depends on how much you're willing to risk. For example on Friday I swung a NIO call and in 8 minutes I made $200 while risking $950 and if I held for 5 minutes more I could have made $350 or a little bit more, can't remember. Options can swing wildly pretty fast. There have been times where I have lost 30% of the options value in 30 minutes, but it recovered by the end of day. You MUST have an entry and exit plan for every trade or you will lose money. Option trading is not for the faint of heart

In my opinion the "safest" option strategy is buying LEAPS with a delta of between 80 or 90. I have held LEAPS through earnings where the price of the stock declined 5% or a little bit more and the price of LEAP was barely affected. One thing you can do to hedge your LEAPS is to buy puts that are 10% ITM about 1 month out.

To answer your question regarding the most profitable option strategy, it is gambling on weeklies. In recent memory if you purchased a put with a $117 strike on FSLY when they previewed their earnings for 0.66 near market close, the next day it was worth over 28.00. Thats a 42x overnight for every 1 contract you owned. Last Friday when NIO spiked to $55, if you felt ballsy and got a 0DTE $45 put for 0.01 or 0.02, if you sold the peak they would have been worth over 3.00 or a 150x over several hours. They are the most profitable, but you can lose 100% of the premium you pay if you're unlucky. Only buy weeklies if you're 100% okay with losing all the money you pay for it

The best way to learn is through experiencing it first hand. I spent 100s of hours looking at lines and paper trading options before I decided to try with real money. There is a lot of confusing terminology out there, so if you don't understand something, read more. Options can either make you insanely rich or insanely poor. Yes to sell a call you must have 100 shares of the underlying stock; this is known as a covered call. If you were to sell a call without 100 shares, this is known as a naked call.
If you placed $10,000 into TQQQ 10 years ago, you'd have close to $400,000 today. With governments around the world printing their dollars to worthless, I believe they will eventually find their way into equities causing the underlying stocks held in TQQQ to increase in value which would also increase the value of TQQQ but on 3x leverage.

I partially explained my reasoning above. The premiums for TQQQ are juicy. Selling an ATM call 1 month out nets you over 10.00 in premium. I would then use that premium to purchase shares of SPY until I also have 100 shares of that.
