Guys I'm thinking XRP won't moon pre-FXRP airdrop.
People say that it's in 'their' interests to exclude as many people as possible from receiving these tokens but that's along the same lines of FUD as 'do you really think they'd let YOU get rich'.

This token needs to be distributed as fairly and widely as possible for maximum liquidity. Concentrating the token doesn't actually help when you have a product you actually want people/institutions to use.

It's the exact same reason why I see Jed dumping as a good thing, instead of the FUD it's painted to be. The less concentrated these coins are, the better.

Checked. Not my view of things - quite the opposite really. The alternative view (which I go along with) is that retail just sullies the true purpose of XRP by introducing speculation and it actually negatively affects liquidity because retail will look to hold for term. The actual intention is that this is a bank to bank coin, where they trade in and out in seconds with a stable price and speculation strongly discouraged. This is pretty much exactly the vision set out by ripple.

The thing is mate that there is just so much to start with when it comes to convincing people, you're asking people to question everything, and really reflect on everything they've believed to be true for their whole lives. There are some legit concerns with ledger, sure, but I don't think its likely that they're going to steal everyones crypto and run off with it. That's too far fetched and it'd be too easy to chase them down. There are also concerns with the battery and the bluetooth, but if you're not going to use that shit every day and you just bring it out occasionally to make purchases and mostly use it for long term storage you'll be fine. Actionable information, hard information that could be worked with, is useful. Stupid prophecies and """riddles""" is not. Had there been more information and had that information been more accurate then independent investigation could have been leveraged to move public, read: civil and criminal, action. That's not what was done, though. It was all bad genre fiction played out on a large stage with improved actors. Was someone scripting Q? Of course. Might they have inside information? Likely. Was Q meant to "prepare people for what's coming"? Highly unlikely. That reading is the worst parts of pop culture Christianity with its heterodox to heretical reading of Revelations.

Insiders are useful. Whistleblowers are absolutely critical for accountability and transparency. Random assholes playing Dan Brown are not, and they are intentionally unhelpful. The people propagating it are useful idiots at best and we are all worse off for the mental space that Qshit was provided.

There were so many ways to wake people up to the mass disinformation campaign that is being waged. It was absolutely not necessary to invent some damn fiction that was demonstrably false and whose so-called prophecies did nothing other than convince good, but ultimately naive, people to do nothing because there was "a plan".

Now fair is fair. If I'm wrong, I'll admit to it and I'll say as much in thread. I doubt that'll be the case, though, because all of this Qshit smacks of psyops and a planned operation done by someone who knows plans and ops.

A fair take on the whole situation. I agree that it is very plainly a psyop, but not all psyops are bad if it's serving to make people question what is the truth. I hope with all my heart evidence comes to light, but I'm with you, if nothing comes to light next year then it's very clearly complete BS. But the fact is many people, myself included, would not have nearly the level of awareness of the disinfo war had they not gotten tangled up in Q shit. As a meme for planting seeds of doubt in the public consciousness, I think it's been highly effective. If evidence of large scale corruption does come to light, I have some understanding of context and am able to accept that evidence. If it doesn't, well, it was a fun ride.
