Yes, unironically. I'm at my lowest financially right now and was kinda hopeful that this airdrop could help me out with coming back from the dead, so to speak. I believe the CLV airdrop ended up being profitable for a few people.
Also UNI did the same thing even though it was more of a marketing stunt than anything.

Clv airdrop was mostly because the dev was based as fuck and wanted to throw /biz/ a bone. The uni airdrop was to get the SEC off their backs (now they can say that they're decentralized, and have it hold up in court)

That's honestly your best bet. If you're getting something for free that means that you're the product. By all means though, sign up for airdrops (I still do if I see them), but don't expect much. 1 paycheck from a job invested in literally any top 10 coin will probably do you better than a year worth of airdrops. And the uni thing has literally happened once, you can't just wait around for another opportunity like that (and again, even though it was substantial, it was like 1 pay check)
