it's still very comfy and I don't regret moving out because the change of scenery is nice despite the high cost of living. nigger I'm not living in the forest you know? I'm near an urban metro and can work with people my age (wfh currently cause of covid). I'm sure theres some truth to not having a large social circle after 25 makes things hard (I have a small circle of close friends)- but what I've noticed is even most of those 'large social groups' break down because people inevitably get married after 30, move away, and start having kids. All that matters *socially* is whether you can have a mate or not, which I know I'll be able to get np.

I think all it really takes is getting a mate, and then from their making a group of friends comes pretty naturally (the phrase their friends become yours and yours theres).

Personally I hate the idea of going to trendy social events with the purpose of meeting people - it seems so artifical and virtually NOONE will stay friends because theres nothing keeping those bonds together. just my two cents at least.

Make sure that mate is single. When I moved to Denver, I met a bunch of married or about to get married dudes + 1 gay guy.

I realized I needed more single, male friends.

I'm mainly meeting women at rec volleyball right now, but haven't struck gold. Just working the process of meeting people

I will say that I don't really want to do a ton of trendy social events, as you mention, because I don't want a girl that wants to go to those.

I'm into actually nerdy STEM homebody chicks that will follow me on an adventure here and there

I hear ya. It sounds like youre on your way there and will find what youre looking for by just putting in time and effort.

Im like you in that I'm also into homebody girls as I'm more of a homebody myself, but the issue being that its hard to meet homebody girls that are always at home..

I also think about going to Colombia and getting a wife from my ancestors home, which would be MUCH easier + better, though definitely riskier.

Why wouldn't you post anonymously if you were worth millions? Yea I'll stick to not getting my doors knocked down by niggers, thanks. The idea that anons on /biz/ are being genuine becomes more of a reality the longer you stay on this shithole. For instance, I was here for ETH at $15 and LINK at 20 cents. I didn't buy any LINK until $1 and feel like a massive idiot (and I was) but the point is that if I actually did what hundreds of anons have been doing I would be a millionaire right now too. And so would you if you bought a few grand worth of LINK and simply waited for 3 years.

I started out normally with one job, fully remote company, they give me lots of perks including worldwide health insurance(works great for my travel), but the code base turned out to be really old some employees suck at english and I dont speak their language. Basicly they give me enough tasks for 1-2 days a week and the rest was free time so I decided to look for another job and try to do both, worst case resigning the first. Its over a year now and I think I might get third :D

I moved out with 18 and its the best you can do. For yourself and your relation with your parents. Fuck you weak cocksucking fag. You have no idea about real life and this will come back to you and fuck you up. 100%.
However, congrats on making it by investing in magic Internet money.

This. OP I dont want to be a party pooper but young women in their early 20s don't care about money, all they care is looks and status. Now there is also another level of difficulty you have to consider:
If you want to snatch a well to do girl that means you must pick one who is in college. Now the issue is that rarely will a chick from college date somebody outside of her uni circle (let alone an older one) unless she's deeply damaged or she's gold digging.
I think your best bet is to search in a smaller city where its unlikely for girls to go to college.

Not too shabby if that is legit.
I assume you have one with your personal details that you share with your resume.
I'd say your skills should be easier to access and view.

>i did it in raw html/css instead of using wordpress
I don't think the problem there is you.
I do suggest looking into bootstrap as it is a fairly simple framework to work with.

Webdev is pretty over saturated though apparently. I would suggest diversifying a little.
Do some backend stuff like databases, REST etc.

Another note is that a website itself isn't too impressive either. Need more webapps that have functionality and seem more complex.

100% genius. I never understood the West's obsession with getting as far away from your parents as possible as soon as you turn 18. If you have a good relationship with them, a decent roof over your head staying there, then why pay some stranger rent just to have muh independence? I moved out at 26 able to buy my own apartment and still have 200k cash saved, all well I got to come home to hot meals cooked by my lovely momma while doing so. For sex I just took sluts to hotels because guess what, I could afford it thanks to having no rent to pay

You wasted your time building that site with html/css only. You're supposed to showcase your skill in modern frameworks when showing code to potential employers. You can try rebuilding that site you linked using ReactJS and Bootstrap like the other anon said. Right now I'm 25 and it's simultaneously a mixed bag but also the happiest I've ever been in my life.

>Dad pressured me to major in chemistry
>Immediately went into sales after graduation because I hate chemistry
>At least he paid for college, but the moment I graduated he divorced my Mom
>Family has been destroy
>I grew up seeing my Dad as a hero but now I honestly seem him as semi-sociopathic
>I'm not that great at sales, considering bailing to IT but still trying to find my next sales job
>My Mom is seeking therapy, seems mentally disturbed
>Sister is also not using her marketing degree, can't even find a job.
>She's even considering going back to college AGAIN to get another bullshit degree
>I'm trying to dissuade her because despite my lackluster sales career I've learned already so much about how the world actually works and what's actually useful.
>Family is literally broken and spread across the country
>Nonetheless I proudly moved out on my own, rekindled my passion for history and philosophy, picked up reading again, found the self discipline to lose weight and spend my days more effectively by learning to code and basic IT
>I'm pretty good at interviewing now

So overall, my 20s is rather turbulant, but I'm in a much better place mentally than I was in college. I'm getting better at sales and if I can get some basic IT certs in additional to learning some programming I could have a lot of different paths open up for me in the future.

Only downside is that with his pandemic, I'm limited in what self improvement in what I can do. I still have never had a gf. But I've gotten better at talking to people. I need to attend parties to continue breaking social anxiety. Once I'm fit and not fat (thanks to keto) I'll gain more confidence. I am also economically reliant on my Dad, which is unfortunately.

you can just do backend to start. all of development is just working with data. for example, your backend can make a call to an api to get some data, do something to it, and store it in your own database. the frontend part would be presenting that stored data in a pretty way. if you can do the first part, and competently describe your thought process and how it all works, you can land a junior dev position right away

Bootcamp
Kinda a meme, but some are great fastlanes to build experience and give you projects which demonstrate your ability to learn and apply.

Currently in one, did a few weeks of console apps, making webapps in ASP.NET Core right now that have identity/role support, database querying & management, API integration etc.

The downside of bootcamps in general is that software is something you could theoretically teach yourself entirely for free.

...but you wouldn't get any direct feedback or reinforcement or guidance if things aren't making sense. I think the solo route is something that should be considered if you have the time and dedication and means to keep yourself occupied.

t. Going from a career in product design (ME/EE) to IT (software development) and my company is paying for my bootcamp and giving me my future role because I was a high performing employee and they loved me

How do you fags live without pussy? Cuz there is no chance you’re getting laid living with mommy. That’s the major flaw in this plan. Ya you’ll move out with a quarter mill but you wasted your prime dating years jerking off in moms basement and now you’re a weird 30 year old with no life experience. And you better hope crypto goes on the mother of all bull runs cuz $250k doesn’t impress anyone. This idea that 21 year olds with be throwing themselves at you because you can afford a 1br condo is hilarious.
