Look at the trends. Notice how the interest for BTC pumps AFTER the price starts spiking. More importantly, notice how the interest for general "crypto" spikes AFTER BTC is done pumping.
/biz/ is no different to other social media, people come and go depending on what is happening.

And as a last thought, like other people said, BTC is "one of many" now. A king but still a king amongst royalties. A 3x is nice only if you have 100k++ in there. Otherwise, you are still flipping shitcoins to try to build up a stack.
