Had some great responses and debates last thread to my idea of shorting bonds via TLT puts. Maybe I’m a brainlet, but it seems like guaranteed inflation as the fed had stated will render bonds somewhat worthless? That, and while I don’t think interest rates will go up, that’s the only future direction they can possibly move in. The Fed has announced they won't be raising rates until 2022. Of course, that's possible it changes.. but I doubt it. The US economy cannot take a rise in interest rates. If Powell were to come out tomorrow and say "Fed Funds rate is now 0.5 we would see all markets slide 3%+

Your fucked. Two options; Either pull money from your bank to cover the loan/sell other stocks or they (broker) will come and take whatever stocks you got till the loan is paid back. Either way your fucked. Say you bought DIS in march for super low 86 per. You owe the broker and no money to pay it back. Say goodbye to your DIS stock. Now you gotta pay 137 per to re-buy your DIS.
