the last car I had I got on PCP. It was a monthly payment of £350. I don't know shit about cars or car finance. What's the best option, PCP, finance, buy used or buy new? Also, because I've only ever had PCP, I didn't need to worry about any tax or mot or whatever the fuck payments because it was included in the deal. If you buy a used car, what do you have to pay beyond the price of the car? I honestly don't know

Just save up and buy used. Finance is for cucks and poor people buying outside of their budget.

>save up and put down a large chunk of capital that could have went to investing

I dunno man, that seems more of a bluepilled option to me. Why is there no consensus on this shit

Just buy a car that's in your price range. Finance is a one way trap

>put the entire thing down on a depreciating asset that also needs maintenance

Or if you have literally nothing to buy outright, get something cheap & reliable ie Japanese, do full finance (not PCP) & make it over 3 years, 5 is too long.

Do you even need a car? Chances are you don't if you live in a city or commuter town. The UK Government are actively making it harder and more expensive to own/drive a car, mass pedestrianisation of roads, increases in road tax and (((CO2 emissions))) tax, using the pandemic as a front to encourage walking and cycling like a peasant, meanwhile the elites get ushered about in pic related.

If you are so desperate to have a car before you've made it, get a second hand toyota/nissan/honda for 4-5k. Don't use finance, complete con, car salesmen are actively encouraged to sell you finance harder than the car itself. Whatever you were going to put towards that Monthly PCP, you should regularly invest instead, or quarterly.

Based and EP3 pilled, I bought a tidy one for £3500, put it in a ditch and wrote it off.

You should really stop purchasing vehicles while under the influence of drugs, that's my advice

>> No.23841692

If you can't afford it straight away you shouldn't buy it. There's nothing I hate more than middle aged couples in shitty mercedes(which cost no more than 30k) looking at you as they drive by as if you should be impressed by their leased middle class car. Little do they know I could buy 10 of those because of my portfolio.
