this one probably isn't a conspiracy. Pfizer likely knew they could've thrown the election with that news. I mean that one FBI guy threw the last election with much less impressive news.

they probably timed the announcement to avoid interfering, even though they knew full well it would boost Trump. Maybe they held off for ethical reasons. Maybe they don't like working for a president that denies they need to do the work. Hard to say.

This. Trump would've won if this news was made like 2 days before the election as there would be a lot less democrats that would vote with a vaccine available.

>> No.23833481

I'm honestly surprised Pfizer made anyone blink.
In my head a working vaccine before EOY has been guaranteed for ahile now. I can't believe how ineffecient this market is.

Are you trying to be funny?

Trump did nothing but cheerlead all the researchers doing work on Covid.
One of the first big Covid-specific press conferences he did was him simply parading a line of major pharmaceutical developers in front of the white house.

Consoom less MSM.

why would they hold off releasing news they had weeks before that would swing the election to trump?

there's no 'maybe' about them holding off. They certainly did. the only unknown is why they did it.

>> No.23833838

>>23833630
oh yeah, by switching 'maybe' to 'certainly' the whole story should definitely be taken more seriously. the vaccine wouldn't have switched a single biden voter over to trump, because everyone knows that for trump this covid thing is just a hoax. the funniest part is really that trump lost the election because he literally killed his own voters by playing down covid, and that this actually mattered in the end given the close results.

would've changed my vote. I voted for biden because of how bad trump fucked up the virus response. But aside from that I prefer trump on almost every issue.

I don't think anyone expected the race to be this close, so perhaps that didn't figure in pfizer's calculations, but I personally believe the vaccine news would've shifted the election. It wouldn't have taken much and that probably would've done it.

Oh shit! Never thought of that haha.
I dont think the election results would've come out dufferent if the news was released earlier.
It wasn't a lack of a vaccine that made people not vote trump but rather it was the fact that he wasn't able to control the situation and he got 200k burgers killed.
Basically why would you vote for someone who kills his own people, destroys the job market and puts the economy on a knife edge?... other than because you're an illiterate, child brained sheep

I think people are overelaborating the timing and missing the perfectly simple and obvious. Pfizer weren't going to announce in an uncertain market with sentiment volatile due to election. Once Biden was named as president elect, that produces more of an emotionally stable market. You want to be announcing your best (and most profitably) news during those times so people buy the company's shares at healthy prices. When will /biz/ understand money?
