Polymarket just scammed countless users who were betting on trump.
a qrd for the situation with polymarket: Polymarkets trump win market had the conditions that if the media agreed on the winner, the bet would settle. The media agreed on the winner 2 days ago and yet the market remained opened leading may to believe they could and should place bets on their platform for trump as the odds were ridiculously good. Well it turns out that Polymarket started the process of closing the market (calling it) 48 hours ago without alerting anyone. This means any bets placed for trump in the last 48 hours were guaranteed losers.

We have reports coming out that the news is not to be trusted, also reports to trust the news, trump claimed victory, and so did biden, theres a lot of uncertainty, so seeing a market like this still open, especially for what polymarket touts they are (an info provider to make decisions) made many think that they were truly waiting for a winner to be decided at the EC.

Say you were betting on sports somewhere where they are not showing the game that is being played. All that is being shown about the game is the news reports, suddenly the news starts reporting that someone won, even though it seems like that game is still going. The betting table is still open and taking bets. Hey polymarket was a really neat idea, I enjoyed putting $825 into Trump winning in the long. Fucking assholes uh oh spaghetti-o’s we just let the market run while everything is decided.
I put in an SEC complaint and messaged the ceo of poly.capital on linkedin(my only sm), they just invested a few million into polymarket. I hope they fucking burn. Not a glitch, the market was still going as of a few hours ago, checking now I can see the price is at 0, but for a while it was going up meaning it was being traded still. Someone either fucked up big time, or the other sides of those trades were employees who were taking advantage of their fucked system.

If you want to fuck poly market in the ass you need to send them a “notice of dispute” where you outline your intent to arbitrate. In California they have to pay all the attorney fees, $20k per case, all you pay is the initiation. If you’re out anything, send them and email, follow up 48hrs later with a notice to dispute, send a paper letter. Maybe you won’t get your money back but you will take something from them. Owen Benjamin cost patreon a lot of money. This is how you get back.

wasnt aware of their arbitration, I did send them an email earlier, it actually makes me even more angry that they have a system for it, I talked to the CS rep today, staying in chat for several hours and he never once mentioned this. I already submitted my SEC complaint and from what I can tell several other people have as well. Since they have arbitration set up, I will take a look at it and see what it involves and maybe give it a shot. My complaint has nothing to do with how it was called and everything to do with how the company put forth their market, you cant sell an investment product that goes immediately to 0 at the same time you are advertising 100 to 1 payout possibility for the purchase.

They have no mailing address but it says you need to send a letter notifying the dispute. They’re amateur tier. They have 60 days to make an agreement with you or you’ll be allowed to file an arbitration for $200 and request your money plus the fee. It’s not about the money, it’s about sending a message.
