Pattaya is a hell hole OP. I understand the lure of Thailand, hot, beaches, cheap etc but having spend 6 months there I can tell you a few things,
1)Most of the chicks have dicks -majority of biz would be happy with this but not for me
2)Thai locals fucking hate expats, we've ruined their country and they know it, the locals not involved in the tourist sex trade will treat you like a lepper and rip you off at every opportunity
3) the language is fucking difficult to learn so you end up being ripped off all the time, always paying "tourist prices" not matter how long you've lived there
4) the only people there who you will be able to converse with in English are old white sex tousits who go to fuck children or 18 year olds on their gap years.

Krabi, phi phi and Samui would be my options if you want thai Island life but even those still suffer from themp majority of issues mentioned.
Vietnam and Malaysia are much nicer places at similar prices minus the sea tourism.

It seems there are no more good places left to live in this world.
It's funny that my naive childhood dream may have been to live a "simple" and normal life, have a normal family and children with a normal house, a normal but interesting work, and share fun times with friends inside a good community, but all of this was denied to me.

After all the efforts I put into making it I now realize that money really can't buy happiness and can't even make your small dreams true.
The only things which still provides me some form of happiness are the few remaining boards on 4chan not invaded by reddit, and watching japanese vtubers. But none of these require money...

Its bullshit. Ofc there is crime like in any other country, but as long as you don't live in some fucking favella and have some common sense you will be fine.
The country may not function like in the west but the people are trying and the economy is growing.
If you have an online business, you're good to go.
Food is quite subjective but if you have money, its generally good. 25°C is perfect, not too hot and not too cold.
Colombia + Dubai is perfect though.

I will flee if I have to as I have no reason to stay after the country I grew up in stole so much from me.
But no matter where I go, I will never experience the feeling of being together with like minded people who share common culture, language, history and values.
