I have a scraper script that's been running for over a year now, where it goes and gets all of the top gainers (and losers) for the day from MSN Money. Then, it checks back on the next day to see how those top gainers (and losers) performed. I wrote this because I wanted to see if it would be a smart move to buy in to the top gainers, on the hope that they'd keep going up the next day. Well as it turns out, on average they... do nothing. Some keep going up, some drop a lot, end result is that the average change on the next day is a big fat zero.

Caveats about this data, yeah I don't think it includes penny stocks, but there are plenty in this list which showed up because of big, unprecedented events. Like OPTI's 8K.

mining isnt really cost effective. i know an IT cloud wizard and he built a mining rig with 10 GTX 1080TIs back in 2015 when they were almost 2k a pop, still didnt yield well. He had ridiculous power bills to power not only the rig but the a/c as well. Then when the price tanked, it was a liability that wasn't yielding any money. So he sold the whole rig in pieces for a fraction of what he paid for it. Unless you own a supercomputer facility that is government funded, mining is a waste of time.

how are you daytrading it, if you don't mind me asking? i mainly use it for swing trading, where i'll buy more every 5xATR it drops from my initial entry point and sell half at 5xATR in profit, hoping for an ultimate target of the top line. you still using the 1h time frame or you going lower? i've been doing a bit more research into using lower timeframes and 5m looks pretty good for intraday potentially, although im unsure how safe it is considering you have to complete the trade before the day ends, compared to swing/position trading where in the worst case scenario as long as shit isn't hitting the fan you can literally just hodl and wait it out with the ability to buy more lower if necessary. at least i can say i wouldn't go lower than 5m intraday, 1-2m seem to be too fast or at least would require a bigger keltner like maybe 15-20x instead of 10x. also tutes only really respect the 200 SMA on the hourly and daily time frames. i use the hourly because it's very rare for it to hit the lower line on the daily, although it's a good indication there if we get another covid crash since that's roughly where the bottom was (i think ultimately it went like 15x though before reversing).

I look at the 1H chart for the overall trend but trade on the 1minute chart, and I only enter when it touches the 10xATR line, and then exit when it gets back to the center line
I've noticed that on certain time frames it never gets far out, like you said on the 1day it like never hits the bottom, I'm trading options on SPY and SQQQ btw but using the /NQ and /ES charts to choose entry and exit points
