Gold could possibly be overvalued massively, as most of its value is sourced from its investment value
Silver is more volatile but it has a far more limited downside
Silver wont stay below the equivalent of 16 today $ for long as this is a little bit above break even for producers and its foremost an industrial metal with lots of use cases

Ill try to explain it again
Gold has value because people believe it is valuable (zoomers do less so than previous generations)
Silver has value because of its use cases
I dont feel good with stuff thats only has value because people believe in it, this obviously applys to fiat far far more than it could ever apply to gold
But silver is just so fucking useful in chemical and electrical use cases, also its price is not that far above production price
>When i brought my stack it pretty much was at production price, buying was a no brainer

Although I do understand what you’re saying, gold really has no practical or industrial use except for gold compounds like gold nitrate but that’s pretty rare. But gold has always historically been money because its the perfect element for money, it’s rare but not too rare so the supply of it can only increase at a very small rate, and gold is a noble metal that doesn’t react with anything in nature.

Gold will likely hold its value and go up in the long term. Silver will probably go up significantly in the long term, too but nobody knows for sure. You already have a lot of silver so why not diversify into gold? Another option to consider is to liquidate some of that silver for gold when the GSR gets narrower, and then liquidate some gold for silver when the GSR gets wider and keep piling up more and more silver and gold as time goes

Yeah not sure if the surge was due to everything else surging post last weeks dump, or if that is pricing in earnings.

My guess is todays rise was just because everyone knows the market was vastly over sold last week. I expect FM earnings to be pretty awesome.

You should take the red pill on "production price".
This shit is elastic. If the spot price goes down then mines close shop leaving only those with low production prices in business. If gold or silver increase in value new mines with higher production cost become feasible and open shop and a few years later the average production price goes up.

For example, the vast majority of REE's are mined in China, therefore China is one of the few (and extremely privileged with a monopoly on REE's) nations that can self-sufficiently (internally) mine REE's. Most other states cannot do this, and are therefore not entirely self-sufficient. This is true for many other commodities too and it means that states (or companies from around the world) must therefore exchange goods with one another to meet supply & demand
>Private property being used "against" other people
While I'm also against high-interest debt -- I'm for Islamic Debt where the lender shares the risk -- I don't believe that private property is used for slavery in a free market. The job market is large and people make contracts willingly. Slaves work because they are forced to. It's up to each individual themselves to agree to contracts, and people who are able to market themselves and create more value are able to discuss better contracts with employers -- or start their own business. What's also worth noting is that everybody -- even the poor -- have a right to personal property, meaning that everybody has a right to buy things, own things and do what they want with those things (within the constraints of the law and the regulations that the state makes). This gives people incentives and goals to strive for, and everybody has the right to try and reach as high as they want to, the right to succeed and create value.
Taking away people's initiative to work harder and smarter would be terrible though as competitiveness and progress would grind to a halt.

>Abusing private property
I assume this is about interest on debt? In which case I agree that the risk should be shared by the lender and the borrower, or that interest rates should be minimal and concrete, not subject to the whims of a Central Bank. Perhaps a predetermined sum that the borrower has to pay would be better than a percentage-based interest, not sure. Anyways the burden of risk should fall on both the lender and the borrower (as opposed to the only risk for the lender being that the borrower defaults and literally can't pay any more because they're broke)
>Collectivizing
Agreed, fuck communism
>Mammonism
This wouldn't happen in a true free market. It is what's happening in the current "free" market where the Central Banks are devaluing the currency while bailing out big corporations and banks. The current monetaristic system favors the rich and tramples on the average Joe. Most big corporations would've defaulted a long time ago otherwise
>Remuneration, higher payment, adequate help, punishment
Seems awfully extrajudical. Who decides what is valuable and what is immoral? And how are some of these goals like "help to the poor" achieved consistently? It sounds good on paper but the text suggests no clear solutions to the problems that are created

>Bonds
One thing I'd like to remind about is that debt (or loans, bonds) exists because people are willing to leverage themselves. It's natural for people to take a loan so that they can buy something or make an investment and then pay back later. Because it's natural, it's important that it doesn't lead people to ruin (because people make mistakes) -- which is why the lender and the borrower should share the risk in my opinion
>Interest rates, and who benefits from them
Again I think that interest rates shouldn't be controllable by a Central Bank. It would be better if they were decided by the free market and there wouldn't be a problem about interest rates anyway when the rates fluctuate when the lender and the borrower share the risk. Also worth pointing out that anybody can become a lender, which is to say that anybody can buy bonds and anybody can benefit from interest.
>Interest slavery
Agreed with everything, although I think that privatization is preferrable to government monopolies due to increased competition (good for the customer) and upwards momentum in productivity (innovation and progress).

You can't keep piling debt on debt and expect everything to go smoothly. Somewhere along the line deflation happens naturally, and flight to currency and safe havens occurs. Most assets lose their value and interest rates go up, cucking everybody because everybody is leveraged as fuck. And we've seen first-hand that when society is overleveraged, the tiniest increase in interest rates results in a wave of defaults, bringing down the whole house of cards. Because Central Banks control money supply and interest rates -- and because everybody knows what happens when interest rates go up -- the Central Banks just inflate the deflation away with the power of BRRRRRR. Now this wouldn't be a big issue if we took steps to reduce our debt when we're in an economic boom -- but we don't! Because humans are reactionary and illogical!
Shit's fucked

Some actually do make money even with the scams but because it's impossible to know when the scammer(s) pull the plug on their shitcoin, most people will lose their investment.
BTC and a few others might actually be worthwhile investments though and the blockchain technology is legit. there are certain cryptocurrencies that make sense because they serve a specific purpose. Something like PAXG is an interesting stablecoin because it is backed by gold - for every PAXG that exists, an ounce of gold is stored in a safe, so it's like owning a share in a gold ETF or something, but is much more liquid and hence easier to trade/transfer with lower fees. BAT is interesting because it is a payment token for viewing ads. BTC aims to be a decentralised anti-fiat, though the fact that it has no real backing makes it very based on trust. etc etc

I'm a poor wageslaver just like you anon. 29yo living alone in a small appartment living below his mean, thats why I can invest 1k per month, nothing fancy honestly. It took me something like 4 years to get that physical PM. Also, I forgot to remove Silver one from that list, its not there anymore. I may swap Aurcana for a gold miner like Golden Mineral, I dont know. Cant have too many position, its better to have lot of cash into PM rather than a lot of position with small cash.

Me too, I guess it's for people in the crypto space who want exposure to gold prices.

Do you know what stablecoins are and what their purpose is? It's essentially cryptocurrency backed by a particular asset, like the USD/EUR/GBP, or something like gold, and typically (if you're trading crypto) you withdraw gains into a stablecoin rather than fiat, because you'd pay an extra fee to withdraw to fiat. Then when you find some other crypto to invest in you buy in by swapping stablecoins for ASS or whatever you want.

I can't currently invest even 1k a month even though I work overtime sadly. Well I'm glad that it only took you four years to get all that, gives me hope for myself too!

Why throw away Aurcana? Once they enter production they'll go up in price (provided they keep up their schedule) and once they've established a cash flow they can keep drilling their amazing property

I'm saying Aurcana on top off my head, I dont see anyone else dropping and if I have to add a Gold stock, it would be aurcana leaving. I probably won't add one anyway, if Gold goes up, then Silver will, so why bother, might as well go all in on Silver.

I own Aurcana but I'm concerned they will be massively hurt by increases in corporate taxes and regulation. Their main mine is in colorado.
What do you think?

Well if you believe that then okay. I think gold miners are great to have too just in case because silver fluctuates so much.

I have a bit of money in a few stablecoins to get interest, as there's a few where you can get ~10% interest on just for holding them. USDC and CBDCs are moreorless stablecoins, so they'll definitely exist in the future.

Could be but with those grades, that ground and those production costs they shouldn't be in trouble even if they get slapped by taxes a little. USA is a good jurisdiction. There are similar (and even worse) jurisdictional risks elsewhere around the world

I think you would be throwing away an absolute treasure... Colorado isnt going to fuck them over any time soon, and aurcana is on track to 5million+ oz a year.

No reason why their share price shouldnt be 5-6$ cad at that point, even if silver prices hold at current levels or drop a bit.

hard to add a gold stock without stretching too much my positions. Also dont forget we still have uranium stock to invest into. Thats the problem when you're poor, some sacrifice are necessary. rip gold.

Never go all in. Diversify to other jurisdictions at least. What if Aurcana can't get their production in order and the share price dumps for example? Don't think with your dick anon

Diversification is a meme anon... no reason to spread your money out thinly if you know where you are putting it. Nothing is a sure bet, you can diversify into 20 companies and have 20 fail, or one moon, one tank, 18 crab, and be no where for all your time and extra commissions.

I dont have 100% in aun, but its my largest holding, and Im likely not going to add any more companies outside of maybe getting back into SSE or PGM. Ill likely just excite my existing positions because Id rather put more $ into things i think are winners then spread myself thin out of fear.

observations made without judgement are only triggering when personal insecurities and negatively conditioned behaviors get in the way. Projection at this level is pretty common. Maybe you should work out some of that aggression with some weights, fondle your stack a bit, do some BJJ or something, enjoy nature, or even try to meditate a bit more, my bro?

that is classic gamblers fallacy. You can make 5 choices and still lose them all.

Proper DD results in you analyzing things to the point where obvious winners and losers stand out. If you have 5 winners, you buy 5 winners, you dont buy 5 winners and then spread out $$ to losers just in case your winners lose.

Diversification is just the shot gun approach for people who either dont trust their own DD, or do not accept that there is risk inherent regardless of DD, and delude themselves into thinking shotgun approaches mitigate risk in this scenario.
