Well, its not an outright scam but the risks associated with active trading are considerable. And copy trading seems kinda boring, kinda like betting on horses without the fun of watching the race.

Many platform are copying that copytrade idea.
It's actually a good idea, there are things to consider: for example a profitable guy who bought 3 stocks 1 years ago and it's up 50% with those, then you buy in and the stocks lose 10%, now he's 40% up and you are 10% down.
So you have to be careful to copy just active traders that make money by doing trades often.
