There is no right answer for this. Mostly personal preference and security vs. convenience.
Hot storage (with Spark support) - XUMM or Exodus.
Cold storage - Ledger/Trezor or Paper/Metal Wallet

I haven't posted in a while, still can't believe its actually unironically all happening.

How fast do you guys think Spark tokens are gonna accrue xrp when they're staked? If the transactions happen almost instantly, I could stake it, someone could put up xrp, create fxrp and complete a smart contract with that, and return my staked spark with my xrp fee in like a minute. Will that be constantly going or will we choose which terms and fee rates?

Just remember to not sell your Spark tokens boyos; like uniswap tokens, Spark will be used for governance decisions on the Xrp network. Things like fees, and minimum wallet size. Governments might pay us real big bucks to consolidate their decision making abilities.

As always, OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooOoooooOoooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooOoooooooooOooooOOoooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Reminder that these threads are actually Cripple Retard Generals and filled with retards and normies from xrp crypto twitter who simply don't fit in here.
>link gets talked about for years on here while xrp is seen as a joke
>link gets fudded everywhere else by us
>link goes on its run to $20
>we dump $20 link on retarded crypto Twitter plebs after they realize they were manipulated into thinking it was a shitcoin going nowhere
>link goes to $10
>desperate xrp bagholders come here because this was "the place" for link
>shit up the board and try to force "schizo" threads when it's just the same 8 bagholding retards nameposting at each other and reposting tweets from Twitter larpers as "breadcrumbs"
>xrp price and prospects are still in the dumpster despite all the retards trying to shill it, and they can't even stay in their own low iq containment thread
And that's the story of how xrp came back to biz.

good questions anon- i wonder a lot about how this spark thing will play out as well.

i think i will try and purchase quite a bit of spark as soon as it comes out and people sell, because (unlike UNI, for example) it appears that it will have a huge amount of utility. just staking and lending XRP alone will be huge.

one thing i don't see mentioned a lot, though, is that it will apparently be interoperable with other blockchains- BTC, ETH, and XLM being the big ones besides XRP, and presumably the CBDCs as well- or at least USDC. this means that potentially, we could be loaning not just XRP, but other currencies as well (this, as i see it, might be where our XLM and ALGO stacks come into play)

also, Flare will be making a DEX- similar to Uniswap, but interoperable between all blockchains. this has the potential to be huge, because basically it could cuck banks and centralized exchanges out of a whole lot of business- it could take the middleman out of the picture.

Here is a thing I read that helped me understand a bit more about what Flare could become:
http://galgitron.net/Post/DeFi-Defined

I hope we all make it, anons. Remember to get a few minutes of sunlight every day and take your vitamin C and zinc.

the funny part is that this is no more or less valid than 99% of the "crypto analysis" shit i see on youtube

that's why XRP is the comfiest hold. what other crypto does the CEO tweets on the need for regulatory clarity and then the next day the US Attorney General's office issues a report on the roadmap towards regulatory clarity? which other crypto company is mentioned in World Economic Forum documents on The Great Reset?

That article seems like FUD.

So the real source is evidently this medium post from whalealert: https://medium.com/@whale_alert/chasing-crypto-whales-9a3578617a54

>At the current rate it would take him around 20 years to sell all of it, however his activities have been limited by the settlement agreement with Ripple, which is likely to expire sometime in 2020.

Why does whalealert say "likely"? Seems like strange when this would have been agreed upon by contract.

If it does expire end of 2020, that might make the issuance of Spark which purposely excludes Jed's account that much more interesting.

its a bit confusing. but it is NOT an ETH token, Flare is its own network.

the only reason you can use an ETH address is because the way Flare derives its keys is the exact same as Ethereum network and uses the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). completely distinct network. just ensure you own the keys to the eth wallet you tag!

It seems even crazier to sue him into keeping his coins. This is nothing like the creation event for swift though. That was all banks from the beginning. And of course, it wasn't US-based, they overthrew Telex, AT&T, and Western Union by moving to swift. Knowing that swift is based in Belgium and under Europe's regs doesn't address my issues though. Best case scenario Jed drops all 4 billion of his coins on the market, for 10% of XRPs yahoo listed market cap. So then what happens? All of a sudden 200% more coins are on the market, so price of coin is cut to 33% of 30 cents? So then XRP at 10 cents. Then XRP moons after that? Thats not a compelling story to gamble on. Or do these banks take the 5 trillion USD haircut? Or does Jed negotiate (I dont see that happening)? Why isnt Ripple just buying Jed out to avoid this rather than just buying coin? The story makes no sense, which means there are fundamental pieces of information not available to us, and that ups the risk level/perceived risk level in my mind by a lot.

If go live is Nov ‘21, they aren’t going to throw something together in October ‘21. They’ll be working on it for some time. Changing up all of your payment systems to comply with new regs takes time.

In other words, if go live is ‘21 - and we assume Ripple/XRP is part of the new solution - then they’ll start implementing it well before go live (they’ll need testing, etc.)

Perhaps the switch is major banks agreeing to implement ripple solutions for ISO22, to ensure interoperability? Perhaps that agreement comes soon?
