at least 10xATR keltner channel, the initial anon (idk if he's still around) i got the idea from was one who used a VWMA in the daily with a 16xATR as his "sell indicator" which called the top of TQQQ during the softbank hysteria pretty much perfectly.

how you want to set up DCA'ing is up to you, and i highly recommend doing your proper FA on whatever company you're interested in first, obviously you have to be confident they're solid and will go back up eventually. i've had earlier times where i looked at 4x/8x/12x ATR below the 200 hour SMA to buy at, you could do 5x/10x/15x potentially to get closer to that 16x mark for an absolute bottom, or you could try 4-5x below and then "every 2x the ATR below my entry point im gonna by X more shares". that's all up to you and your backtesting and your risk tolerance and your DD on the company whose stock you want to buy.

the main point is that for solid companies, DCA'ing at/below the 200 hour SMA is gonna be solid for dip buying, for defining what "dip" means in an objective sense. it also shows if it's many multiples of the ATR above the 200 hour SMA, you probably shouldn't buy because it has a much higher probability of dropping from there than going up higher. i got my dad to sell the literal top of the stock of the company he works for (just got vested options) using this strategy with the 12x ATR literally last week.

but there are other stocks like FDX which don't give a fuck but they are also the rare stock that fucking doubled their expected ER's twice in a row so, again, FA is important. but it's still a great metric if you want to buy the dip. do your own backtesting and FA though but you should see how frequently it works out well for yourself.

GME typically spikes in the morning, then dips, then goes up again. If you can't buy Premarket, then you should buy when it dips around noon.
That said, any day it could squeeze, at any time it might shoot up. I can't predict this stock other than it will go up randomly and for no reason very often.

I didn't touch it until $6, and i've averaged up so hard my cost basis is a bit over $8
in hindsight, the board members have obviously been working hard since 2019, they just didn't give a shit about sentiment and the stock price short-term. It's almost like they were purposely baiting out the short sellers to not cover while the insiders bought up shares in 2019 and 2020 (the only sale by insiders during this time is by the board executive that left)
