Most races have a pretty high degree of in-group preference. The idea that in-group preference yields financial advantage alone is not tenable.
For example, there are tons of blue collar workers who are very biased towards their groups, but they still remain blue collar workers rather than CEOs, no matter how homogenous they are.

But at the same time, the vast majority of sociopaths are not financially successful at all. There's more to making money than that.
