When it comes to stocks Intel isn’t going to perform for probably a couple years, but when it comes to actual hardware I used Intel for years. My last AMD before buying a Ryzen 3800x was an athlon 64. My first 3800x completely burned out after noticing degradation in benchmarks within 2 weeks, also I wasn’t comfortable with the operating temps. Exchanged it for another ryzen 3800x via amazon. Same thing, started having degradation and really high temps even at idle, stuck a nocturnal DH14 on it during this and it helped but the temps were just rididculous. Also the power and frequency would constantly be way up when it was not doing anything. Ended up returning it to and went back to my intel with a 9900kf which was like.6 months ago and I have had zero issues, still benches well, and temps are actually COOLER with the same noctua. If you look at some real world benchmarks the AMD usage is as high or higher than the equivalent intels. Intel did get very complacent though over their years of dominance which is why they’re getting ass fucked now.
