Not sure how much you're investing but don't spend it all of once. For bitcoin it's good to just dollar cost average, you buy say 1,000usd worth every Monday for example. That way you get a nice average spread.

assuming you're not a LARP:

you need to first realize that all money you "invest" you are actually gambling (this isn't entirely true but that mindset is important imo). this is doubly true for cryptocurrencies. you're also not going to double your money overnight - chasing that dream will lead you to 0 really fast. gambling, remember?

Coinbase is an easy starting point, but there are many exchanges to buy and trade cryptocurrencies. it depends on your country and it's restrictions.

if you're okay with volatile prices, but don't mind holding an asset for a while (several years), then you should invest in these currencies:

BTC
ETH
LINK
ALGO

if you're not okay with volatile prices, then do some research into various investment groups and see what they hold, then just copy those holdings. buy the best performing stocks on an exchange like Ameritrade or something and hold onto them. I think buying and holding is the best way to guarantee returns.

if you want to try and "day trade" or some bullshit just go gamble for real. you'll at least have tipped a dealer after losing all your money as opposed to paying a shit ton in taxes and fees after losing all your money. if your country's tax laws are lax with cryptocurrencies, then there is a 100% you should at least try to learn about "pump and dump" schemes and how to find them.

If you want to get into crypto, take the money from your inheritance that you don't need right now, or if you lost it, it wouldn't ruin your life, and put half in btc (bitcoin) and half in eth (ethereum), then do more research on crypto and make informed decisions from there.
