Markets are rigged through a number of mechanisms, for example altcoins and BTC usually go up in tandem, however, this is not currently the case. Now if you know the market is rigged, this would be the time to buy BTC as if the alts continued to move in tandem this would free up more money for people trade their alts when they see BTC price go up. So (((mysteriously))) top altcoins seem to be going down.
