Have patience. These are not short term investments. If the price of silver has not moved, then these minor fluctuations in mining stock prices don’t mean much, unless there is some sort of catastrophic development with the mine, property, jurisdiction, or management. You can research for yourself on CEO.CA. Otherwise, just hold firm and ignore the little peaks and valleys; better days are ahead when silver starts to move upwards.

The US is one of the only countries without a VAT. Sales tax can be pretty bad, but usually it's less than half of what the VAT is in most countries and it works slightly differently than VAT which means the pre-tax premium above spot will be slightly higher than what it is in the US.

Frens, I bought 500 oz of generic Morgan 1oz rounds 6 months ago. Silver was under $15 spot at the time and I think around $18.50 after premium lmao. Total cost was under 9000. Wish I could have bought more.

>The case for platinum is the same as it was a couple of years ago: it is extraordinarily cheap relative to everything else. We think of platinum as being more valuable than gold, for example. A platinum credit card ranks higher than a gold card. In the record industry, you’d rather go platinum.

>Historically, because platinum is rarer and more expensive to mine, it tends to trade around 1.25 times the gold price. Presently, however, platinum is not even half the price of gold. It’s extraordinary, and in ten years time I expect it will look obvious that platinum is “too cheap” and offers an exceptional opportunity.

>But if we do get a reversion to the mean, and gold stays at $2,000, then platinum will go to $2,500 – a triple from today’s price of $870. And in 2008, platinum was double the gold price. That’s what possible.

>Platinum needs a new narrative – and one’s coming round the corner
My view is that the change in narrative will come from the so-called “hydrogen economy”.

>In July, the European Union implemented its hydrogen strategy, highlighting the crucial role that hydrogen will play in decarbonising industry, transport, power generation and buildings across Europe. There’s a lot of political capital in going green – hence Boris Johnson’s recent noises about wind turbines.

>Platinum will have a key catalytic role in this. It has a vital role in both the generation of green hydrogen, and in fuel cells for fuel cell electric vehicles.

>Perhaps we are sleepwalking into one of those situations in which platinum becomes a key strategic commodity. Everyone will want it and there won’t be enough of it – a bit like cobalt and vanadium a couple of years back. You can’t just press a button and increase platinum supply, it takes years.

>So this has all the makings of being one of those niche commodity bubbles that can make you a fortune if you’re on the right side of it all.

Degiro has good variety. You can buy Canadian, American, Australian and most European stocks to name a few. You can't see the graph or share information for some exchanges (Canada&Australia at least) but you can still buy as long as it says buy. Use another site to view the chart on those shares. You should get to know the fees though. Canadian shares are expensive to buy in a large bulk from Degiro because they fee you 0.01€/share (+2€ normal fee). This means you would pay a 20€ fee for buying 1800 shares. So you might want to use another broker if you want to buy a lot of super cheap penny stonks from a Canadian exchange. You can google Degiro's fees to understand them better but for the most part they're the cheapest you can use in Europe.

Also be sure to make a Custody Account instead of a normal account.

I'm a rookie but seems to be you are never truly down until the company goes under and your stocks are literally zero or until you cash out. Stocks are like a subatomic particle they collapse when they are observed, you don't know how much you have lost until you actually "collapse" your stocks and sell them. You still have x amount of shares to sell when the price goes up when ever that may be.

I don't know, get in touch with them. You also might not know this: because they are stationed in the Neatherlands (because of legal complications), the money you've "deposited" into your account isn't actually entirely safe either. Your money is actually invested into a safe fund that keeps its value fairly well. So your "deposited" funds may increase or decrease a little over time, and in a total economic crash you might want to transfer your shares to another broker (although when that happens your then borrowed shares might not be transferable). Degiro will pay back the lost money when it reaches a certain threshold so don't worry about losing your dry powder in a normal economic situation. Do try to keep your account balance near zero though, just keep it invested

You really can only get fucked if Degiro itself is about to get fucked. Which is basically if 1930's repeats. If you don't like taking that risk and you are comfortable with Degiro jewing 3% of your (possible) dividends then you can probably change your account into a Custody account. You will also lose access to derivatives if I remember correctly but everybody on pmg knows not to fall for those anyways.

I'm still interested in what you think about Gowest. I think we can both agree that their property is at the very least very promising. Last I asked, you said you'd look at their NI 43-101. By the way, as a side question: what kind of information do you try to find from a NI 43-101 report? I only look at Feasibility Studies and Economic Assessments and focus on the financials but I'm interested to hear what a professional focuses on in a technical report.

I bought 10k shares of Pacifico at 0.017AUD. Seemed like a steal then but I've been beginning to doubt my investment. They have like 3B shares outstanding. I'm afraid their earnings per share will end up being too weak to really get investors interested in the share. Gowest looks promising, assays and samples look good but again like I said before, they seem to be having issues showing themselves off. I had only heard of them from a brief notice on junior mining before you brought them up. Meanwhile companies like Skeena, Puregold and others are out in the world showing off. It could be because I have so many different places to keep track of and missed them before too though. Also to answer your question to do with the 43-101 reports, I am mainly reading the geology and resource estimate portions. Other than that I am looking for mistakes. Strangely enough companies will often fuck up their 43-101 reporting and people only notice after the documents are public.

I think that's actually a good thing. When they get their mine up and running and keep exploring and coming up with great results people will eventually notice, I think. I hope. When they finally get their recognition the share price will go up.
>Also to answer your question to do with the 43-101 reports, I am mainly reading the geology and resource estimate portions.
I know nothing about geology, I suppose that requires a lot of very specific mining-related knowledge about ore structures and types of rock in the ground. Is there any good condensed source of information I could read up on to learn about that?

Thought of an interesting way to hide our stashes if we had too. Dissolve it all in mercury. It will simply be a weird grey solid/semi-solid. I ll see what I can find, but a lot of the stuff that appears in such reports is really technical info. Its not even really meant for normal geos, its meant for the specialists to absorb. As for mistakes, I am talking everything from grammer to basic math. These reports are generated by a team of people and than looked over by a separate geo or consultant before being made public. Often though stuff just doesnt get noticed. A serious fuck up on a 43-101 report could result in all sorts of problems for a company, legal troubles included.

Realistic estimates have us at $40 silver and $2500 EOY, $50 silver and $3000 gold EONY.

The answer to this question depends on your lifestyle, the same as when people ask how much they need to save in order to retire.

There is a good argument for going as hard as you can afford to, but once you have a good base built up, all you need to do to beat inflation is just stack a little all the time.

When you read about currency inflation in Revolutionary France, Wiemar Germany etc. that's basically all you needed to do to get through it, although not necessarily make it exactly. People who held gold and silver OR a foreign currency that kept its value were able to exchange it, either for larger denominations of the new currency, or directly for goods.

I posted earlier but I went to buy about $11FV in junk from a guy for $22.75 an ounce. But yesterday I emailed a 4 day old craigslist ad that just said "Vintage Coin Set" with a RMC 1967 proof set asking if they had any "loose change." To my surprise she sent me pics of that Morgan and a bunch of half dollars.

So I immediately bailed and went to her instead and she brought a box full of old coins... like way more than I thought she had. So I purchased what I could with the cash I had on me and am going to buy more later in the week

She was a late 20s girl who said she inherited it from her grandpa. I was starting to wonder if she stole it or something.

You just look in the little reject spot at about knee height. Silver coins are outside tolerance for those machines, so they get rejected.

Either people don't look there after they've finished, or they try the coins multiple times, and they keep getting kicked out and don't know what they have, so sometimes there will be silver coins left in the tray.

Some rare times though, a stolen or inherited collection gets dumped, and the above happens but with a massive silver haul in the $10+ FV range.

It's also great for scoring foreign stuff, but that's just for fun.

MUX is currently trading at 1.00, with 1.50 it's estimated rise at these current Gold prices. The article also specifically mentions the high grade deposit they are currently mining towards. I don't see any people mentioning this but their decision to participate in a gold project is contrary to a lot of shareholders' intention . I wanted leverage to silver's price and exposure to a microcap silver junior, not a gold/silver company. Ive seen Gold Ventures sell his position as well for this reason. Makes me skeptical of management.

I don't want to be an asshole but some of you lemmings deserve this shit. I say this as someone down a few hundred bucks on bayhorse but the lack of DD here is embarassing, and everybody just buys what's shilled. From MUX to BHS, I wonder what will be next.
