Any other anons planning on staking for ETH 2? I'm personally a bit nervous that my ETH will essentially be stuck in the validator node for 2 years without my ability to touch it.

If a critical bug like the NTP one we saw in the medalla testnet happens I'm essentially losing coins without the ability to do anything about it. Similarly, if ETH fails in the transition I'm unable to access my coins for 2 years pretty much guaranteeing that I sell the bottom.

Is anyone else nervous about this? I'm essentially looking for some reassurance from some more confident ETH stakers if there are any other anons out there planning on running validators.

I have enough to stake 2 nodes I believe, I'm still not sure if I should. Then again, high risk / high reward.

HAHAHAHAHAAHA

How does rocket pool work ? Is it better than staking individually?

>risk losing 32eth over 5% gains
baka

>> No.23383009

you can stake any ETH on rocketpool with quick withdraws too

Your hole village can do the steaking on LinkPool too dear.

Will there be any delegated proof of staking? Similar to ALGO I think? Or does everyone with 32+ ETH need to learn the technicals to run nodes?

>> No.23383132

>>23382419
No, too risky imo. Also someone plz explain if I'm wrong, but how will we ensure ETH 2 and ETH 1 prices stay in sync? I do not intend to convert to ETH 2. If a lot of people convert to stake, shouldn't the price of ETH increase do to actual utility, while ETH 2 can stagnant because it isn't going to be of any use for years?

pls explain to a poorfag if rocketpool is useless think at least it has hype potential

What's their rewards ?

>> No.23383418

>>23383313
15-20%

>> No.23383449

>>23382995
It’ll probably be closer to 20% gains earlier on with lower participation rate. On Ethereum that’s insane. High risk high reward OP. For eth you gotta trust these fags. They’ve been testing this shit for years

>> No.23383478

Is rocketpool available to stake at the same time/phase as individual full nodes?

So the same 1.5 year lock up

>> No.23383482

>>23383132
It’s the same token goyim. You can’t withdraw eth2. And once you send eth1 to eth2 it’s converted to that forever

>> No.23383539

>>23383449
At the end of 2 years your 32 ETH will have nearly doubled in amount of tokens while the price will likely have blow past the previous ATH and will end up settling around there. This would make your node around like $65k and paying out 6% per year for as long as ETH exists. $4k a year ain't bad for a $12k investment today.

it would be better to stake LINK i think

Why does it matter if everything is about to eat shit in two weeks?

>> No.23383718

Why? No ones even using eth1

>> No.23384268

there's no real reason to participate in genesis.
I'm going to wait until deposits slow down to see what's the real return rate going to be.
