Unironic answer for someone who really does have that much:

You are probably going to need to spend that $1300 "learning" to trade. Put that aside in an account or broker and consider it "spent."

Honestly the best chance you have would be learning about options and paper trading with ToS for a few months. Read some PDF textbooks that go over all the basics including the Greeks. So this is $0 so far.

Then give yourself a max risk tolerance, something really low like $300 or even $150. (This is going to determine how many "chances" you get.)

Use each $300 out of your initial $1300 that you already spent to BUY an option that you've thought about carefully. So either earnings play or fundamental. You're playing either penny options or far OTM options here because of the risk tolerance so either it's going to be some Chinese company you really need to do some research into or you can just degen into AAPL before their next event or whatever. Use stop-losses each time accounting for theta (or don't) ..

Your goal is to get to $10k based off this. If you can do so you've probably learned enough for the next step. You get as many steps as you can pay for. So out of $1300 that's 4 plays of under $300 each .. if you hold each option until it expires worthless (you won't do this.)

Once you get to $10k you can start playing theta and making $300 a month minimum, which doesn't sound like a lot but is 36% APY. In 5 years you'll have 50k. In 15 years you'll have 1M doing just this.

But unironically just doing that for a year will teach you enough about trading to HOPEFULLY allow you to ape into one or two 10x option plays by year 3.
