Would it make sense to keep your private keys somewhere along with your seed phrases?

From what I understand, seed phrases are tied to specific wallets whereas your private key is universal and could be used to access your crypto from any wallet.

My worry is that some day Electrum or Metamask or whatever will be defunct and I'll be unable to access my wallets. Is this a legitimate worry?

seed phrases can be used by any software. always keep a backup of your seed on a medium that is hard to destroy. as long as the seed is for the same wallet as the private key, you only need one of the two
