There is an economic incentive to suppress this. Whales who aren't desperate for money can afford to be patient. Maybe they are trying to get a bigger slice of the pie before word gets out on what this is and if the price goes up the APY will sky rocket. It's a positive feedback loop. If YFI is BTC this is ETH

I will explain this once and for all for all the brainlets here.
Price doesnt pump yet because Value tokens are still being farmed, and they are being dumped on the market.
Now, if you say "devs should just turn off getting tokens as reward so the price can rise. No thats not a good option right now, why? Okay so YFV/Value allows people to farm YFV/Value with other coins, like Link for example. Now Linkies dont give a fuck about YFV/Value so they dump them on the market instead of holding them. Thats whats giving them the best rewards right now. If the devs would take that away, Linkies would leave Value, and TVL would plummit.
Now we have Value holders who stake in the governance vault and their returns depend on the TVL, so if other coin farmers mass leave the project, and TVL dumps, Value holders/stakers will probably leave too, TVL is the most important factor for a product like this, so the project will die if TVL goes to shit.

Now whats the solution to this? Well the devs are currently working very hard on making the governance vault and value vaults as profitable as possible. This could ensure that Linkies will not want to dump their Value, but instead stake their Value, because they would make more profit this way. Once this is all in place, and the platform provides enough incentive to hold/stake Value, then they can turn off 'tokens as a reward' without people leaving and TVL going to shit.

I dont think its going below 4$. It tested it quite a few times but we seem to be having solid support at 4$. There are many many people who know that this project can be huge and they are accumulating.

Farms are scheduled to quit emission in a week (unless people vote otherwise). This includes people who farm value with other coins like Link, Lend or KNC and are generally the ones to dump.
Emission for Value stakers in the governance vault remain for now. But they are holders/value stakers so I think they will be less likely to dump their emission

Few understand that the emissions curve has been adjusted, and is now on a curve like xmr, instead of straight like before. Max supply is determined, regardless of how long or short it emits. Most people are still operating under impressions of the project from a month or 2 months ago.
