I've tried a bunch of strategies when I was first starting out but the old and time tested Elder's triple screen works the best for me. It can be adapted to fast day trades or slow swing trades. For swings I'll do either 1D/4hr/1hr or 12hr/3hr/30m and day trading 1hr/15m/3m. I tried 30m/5m/1m but it's just too autistic for me. I'm manually calculating stops and position sizing and in that one minute all my calculations can be blown by the random movement of the 1m candles.

There's a lot of fud about TA because some people on biz try presenting charts that have way too many fucking indicators and diagonal/curved lines that are very subjective. All you need is a solid support and resistance line on your big picture chart and MAYBE a trend line if it's really obvious and not open for debate. The rest of the indicators are user preference. The only weird one lately I've been liking is Waddah Attar Explosion on my intermediate chart. Sounds like a muslim thing but it's basically volume enhanced. It's saved me from buying/shorting into false breakouts.

TA does work, but you have to make it work, its part of the toolkit you use to consistently make +ev decisions
you can't just load up a 15m chart on tradingview, turn on bollinger bands and RSI, and expect to make money
don't bother with TA on low mcap/liquidity crypto projects either, all the analysis in the world isn't going to stop you getting dabbed on when some whale decides to dump half the supply of your stupid shitcoin
