Just set up an account with TD Ameritrade. I'm moving off of Robinhood because it doesnt have any of the juniors I've seen mentioned here. I have to wait a few days for funds to clear, but from what I've seen many of you have recommended buying PureGold, Aurcana, and Bayhorse. I plan to pick up shares of these once my funds clear, but are there any others I should pick up and if so why ? Thanks frens, and of course I already own physical.

If you want to get into TA or more precise trading, then I do recommend this thinkorswim platform
Definitely has a learning curve but once you get used to the features it is very nice to have them
Just a trade off between ease of use and awesome features
If you plan on holding and not doing any swing trading or TA and you don't have 100s of thousands in your account, then I would probably just stick with their website to put in orders.

I want most of my account to just be buying and holding small cap juniors right now though, I still so swing trading on my Robinhood account and mainly want the TD account since they have access to all the juniors people mention here. Was wondering if there are any good juniors I should consider picking up before my funds settle? I remember there was a post months back with a list of many juniors but I can't seem to find it anymore.

Just as a tip, go to ceo.ca. Even Eric Sprott said last week he's reading this forum. You can find a lot of interesting info there. Every index has a channel and you can read about it.

I think currently we're waiting on a steady stream of news in the miners, at least those who undertook drilling programmes in the summer. The results are lagging, because labs can't cope with the mount of drilling,so you might see some indexes move on news.

As for PGM, first pour coming before Christmas. My experience has been good, somewhat frustrating, since it doesn't always move with the market, but every now and then it makes big moves. Some of the management sold last week or the week before that, but we're moving only up from here, I think.

Before making a purchase, be sure to inform yourself. Do yourself a favor and go through the company's newest presentation, related news, project portfolio as well as their financials. It's a lot of work but it's the best investment you can ever make. Don't just trust others blindly. Take their advice with a grain of salt and make educated investment decisions based on your own knowledge and judgement.

And yes for the record Pure Gold is a great investment. Great financials and gold production relatively soon, also much gold to discover in the property still. Not up to speed on Aurcana but that one has a lot of hype and big numbers in the ground or so I hear. Bayhorse is a good investment if I remember my notes correctly, the only problem is that their gold property is the nuggety type so drilling results can be misleading and mining the ore has some challenges.

I'm very new too but this stuff is easy to learn. You can find everything necessary the company's own website almost always, unless the company has neglected to update their website or to post financials (in which case dont invest lmfao).

When doing research, I like to look at their presentation first. It gives the investor a comprehensive, if often times a little rosy, image of what the company does and what they're all about. After having understood their presentation, I go through each project one by one, and if any of the projects have drilling reports, feasibility studies or anything like that, I go through those too and make notes on Word. Then I go through related news and see if there's been anything important happening with the company and its projects, like acquisitions, debt problems (share dilutions for example), legal disputes or big discoveries for example. Finally, I go through their latest quarterly financial statement.

The most important financial information is contained in the financial statements and project-related Feasibility Studies (conducted when a mining company wants to know how much dosh they can make on a given project). The most important financials to understand in quarterly financial reports are cash & equivalents (which are included in), current assets, current liabilities (incl. short term debt), current ratio, equity ratio. Current ratio is especially important. If it's under 1, the company will have trouble paying their liabilities for the year. Also don't forget market cap.

For Feasibility Studies, you need some knowledge of what grades and amounts of different ores are good. You'll learn that over time. Important financial information in Feasibility Studies are CAPEX, OPEX, and most importantly NPV & IRR%. Feasibility Studies also hold important project-specific info like Life of Mine (LOM) which is the estimate for how long the mine is operational.

There's many other things to learn of course but I think this is the most important stuff in a nutshell. Happy investing and learning Robinhood anon! There are a few clues that lead me to believe that its a sleeping goodie, one bit was that they managed to maintain their entire archive of drilling and sampling logs over the course of decades while the mine was mothballed / deactivated. Usually when that happens within a few years vandals wreck everything they can get at. With that info intact, they got started generating a 43-101 compliant report with half the effort. Just to push back on PureGold, which I own, it's not as good an investment anymore as cashflow is being priced in. In the Lassonde curve, we're technically approaching the second peak. The cashflow doesn't get priced in after first pour, the cashflow gets priced in in the months leading up to first pour, i.e. now. So you may be in a buy the rumour sell the news scenario. However, to counterpoint this, I'd say the cashflow is being priced in for current or below current gold prices, and as the price of Gold rises puregold will be leveraged to it. but all gold miners and specifically producers will be leveraged to the price increase, and you have to wonder would you rather ride puregold up or another better producer.

I cant say the premiums on those because I almost exclusively buy sovereign coins on ebay, but to test premium, I will call all the LCS's around me and ask how much over spot do they sell silver eagles. If their eagles premium is low, everything else will be lower. Its generally a good experience, its not as cut throat as you expect. As well, the whole MO of central bankers currently is to avoid a debt deflationary recession anyway so if we seriously go down that road their only answer is monetary debasement which is extremely bullish for PMs.

ok, so each hole will be written basically the same way. You have the assay result (eg 23gpt AgEqt) followed by its appearing length in the core sample (eg 2m).
gpt or ozpt means Grams per tonne or Ounces per tonne. Eqt or other abbreviation means its equivilant in ounces or grams per tonne, this comes up in more technically minded material not usually presented to investors.

How good that number is going to be depends on the style of mining the project plans for and its depth underground. Say we have a core sample for an underground mine at 356gpt Ag at 0.9m, this means we have 356 grams per tonne silver appearing in rock for 0.9m of material. For most mines the bigger the ore grade and its width in core the better. Often though for mega open pit style projects a small number over a wide area is still good, depending on the depth from surface it is.

yes thats the length of ore material that the core intersected. They usually also post the total length of the core as well in the documentation, as well as anywhere the core was not recovered. Usually only a small section of a core sample hits a vein or ore structure. However you also have to sometimes double check the models of the core sampling too. One thing the company Barkerville Gold Mines did for example to inflate their core sample results was they drilled the veins at such an angle that it would get a wider cut of the vein than it actually was underground. In the ground the vein was 2 inches wide, but with their bs they made it look 10 or 20 inches wide. They were caught pretty quickly though and forced to redo their samples.

BGM is now in the clear, they are under new management through Osisko Gold Royalties and doing fantastically. One right off the top of my head is Equity Metals Corperation. They have changed their company name multiple times and done so many things its hard to describe. Their main property is the past producing Silver Queen Mine in Houston BC. Just avoid it like the plague. Another one I would stay away from would be ENGold based out of Lache La Hache BC, they arent evil like the last one but they have lost a lot of people money over the years over hyping ore samples that end up being sub par. There are a lot of utterly junk junior miners, but their usually easy to spot. They havent updated their websites in ages, they dont post sampling results or photos of their material, and often change their names every two years. You get the feel for this once you have looked at companies awhile.

truth, but you haven't really explained why bunker hill or aurcana is any different.

I mean you negotiate permits, tell people you're buying equipment, and then issue stock on the hype. There's no need to ever mine anything. When things shut down you can always blame the gov or the locals or the ground or the banks or the economy and walk away with hundreds of millions of shareholder dollars.

just seems the entire game is a crapshoot at that level, and I don't know how you tell a 'good' junior from a bad one aside from past performance which predicts essentially nothing.

Am I correct to say that we will not see a total colapse, but rather a regional rise of powers in the U.S?

The market is going to crash.
The U.S dollar is over while the government tries to move us to the FED bitcoin.
Upheaval arises before or after people realize the restrictions on them via social media, home security, water, electricity, purchases, how many miles you can travel, what person in a single party you should support, the fact that your money will shrink in your digital wallet controled by the U.S postal system, your wallets aftermath devaluing after 30 days.

Either we all see a selection amount of countries moving to the gold & silver standard where somehow...this empowers the current gold and silver holders a form of value where an intentional deal of trade & partnership is made regionally within a broken U.S...

Or...

Regionally the break down takes root & the fed crypto dollar is rejected with upheaval. The regional powerhouses have been able to sustain public peace by force & security. The new systems are backed by land holders and the land lords are the silver & gold holders.

The other option is the populace just goes along with the digital Fed crypto dollar to where they're completely lulled into the system long term while an underground market runs rampit with silver & gold trades used as a currncy which eventually leads to civil unrest...again.

My question here is are most stackers preparing for the SHFT? Its close to a colapse on a water & electric black out. I don't see how any of this is going to end well.

What is initial colpse looking like?
Trade and barter.
People simping for the digital dollar and becoming sellouts just continually going with whatever the govenrment says whole calling those who know better "conspiracy theorists".

Results and financials. That's how you separate the good from the others. If the company has its financials in check, they can operate faster without needing to dilute shares or take debt with bad terms. If they can provide good drilling results, magnetic imaging, if their project is favorably evaluated by a third party, if big players like other companies or private investors flock to it, it's probably going to be great. The more the management & private whales buy the share the more confident a retail investor should be.

I get basically everything off eBay and from IRL auctions/sales, metal detecting as well. Been doing it for 25 years though so if you're a noob then going to the local coin shops (some pawn shops can have decent selections too) will be best and safest place to start because all the fakes online are a minefield for people who don't know what they're doing.

Regarding pawn shops, almost a decade ago an acquaintance in Virginia found an 1830 $2.50 Templeton Reed "Georgia Gold" privately minted coin at a pawn shop and bought it for f'in 24 karat melt/spot price +5%, so basically bullion price.

Not uncirculated or anything but he easily flipped it for thousands, awesome scores do exist but 99.8% of the "awesome scores" out there are just fakes and swindles so please don't even try if you're new, you'll get screwed 100% guaranteed.

I'm an ignorant shiny rock collector, first starting getting miners in March so I don't have wise deep insights but my general sense is that in spite of the complications of potential buyouts, nationalization, share dilution and labor availability, having a jurisdictionally diversified stake in real physical resource producers is more wise than having federal reserve debt dollars accruing negative real interest in a savings account.

Sure some operations could get wiped out for any number of reasons, but other miners surely must prosper too.

I get that overall the stock market is good. If I put 1,000 in 20 different miners and one goes bankrupt while the 19 other trend upwards 10% on average I'll have made returns on my investments, and more importantly my money is better off than if it were in a bank account.

If you own a company, which is bought out, you will immediately make some money over the current share price, since the buyer will pay a certain premium, be it 20 percent or whatever your stock commands.

Buying a myriad of penny stocks and hoping to get ahead though, is in my amateurish opinion a bad strategy. You take a lot of risk that way and honestly at this point maybe you should look at buying the gdxj and forgetting about it all. I find buying a handful of quality companies, which will effectively guarantee you profit in the long term better. But then again that's just my 2 cents.

Bad idea. Take the time to actually learn about the industry and how to read financials. ^ Read and comprehend these

Also you should probably acquaint yourself with some basic money & investment knowledge. There are many books with which you can get started, pic related is what I read just this year before I started off as an investor too. Robbins isn't an investor first and foremost (he is more like a life coach, with an almost cult-like following which I dislike) and he doesn't offer any new information in his book but I found it to be a great way to start off. It goes through most of the basic stuff like how to save money and get started with investing, what common pitfalls to avoid and what are the "safest" investment strategies anybody can use to attain financial freedom. I recommend it for other beginners too, learned a lot from reading it.
Take things he says with a grain of salt though, as he isn't a businessman or an economist (for example, he recommends buying US government bonds due to the historically stable, consistent returns -- however currently yields are effectively negative and the economy is in the shitter and primed to collapse, so US bonds is the furthest thing from a safe return for your investment).

This is the best advice I can give, refine your search as follows:

Search "sterling" just in the main "Antiques" category. No need to refine further into smaller subcategories as this will discriminate out some good deals.

Select "Buy-It-Now" listings only and sort "most recently listed first". Then you periodically refresh and only look at the freshest newest few dozen listings for deals that few or no one else has seen yet. Visually verify by quickly scrolling through pictures that it is indeed stamped "sterling" or appropriately hallmarked before paying because sometimes sellers call plated crap, aluminum, pewter and stainless "sterling" because they're retards. Assume stated ounces are avoirdupois ounces and set a mental target price per gram total including shipping that you're willing to pay. I try to stick to under $0.50/gram on average which makes the "buy or pass" mental math decision instant and keeps my refined bullion cost below $20/Ozt which I'd rather not exceed while cheap scrap is still available.

The spoon deal I posted is a classically "obvious" deal with 238 gram weight clearly stated and plenty of good pictures of the 200 year old hallmarks. All you need to do is be among the first to look at it and have the confidence to know it's legit and buy it within moments.

I recognize more deals than most people but a good half of them are obvious, you just need to be the early bird.

Do as I say and I promise you'll succeed, good luck!

I'm not tech savvy, is there something like a pastebin that supports images that I could curate a scrapping guide on and have linked to in the general? Any good platforms come to mind?

>do you have any experience with eBay auctioning?

Gobs, started in the 90s, and my experience is why I tell everyone to look for Buy-It-Now only listings.

Basically all the bidding happens in the last few minutes or seconds so it won't likely stay that cheap.

One can get good auction deals of course, but most of the time other people are willing to pay more than I am for sterling so the energy/time input versus reward is lower in my experience compared to trawling for fresh cheap BIN deals.

If you want to try bidding, either just bid your max now and forget about it until it ends or use an automated eBay auction sniping service like www.gixen.com to bid for you seconds before the auction ends, but don't sit there physically watching the countdown to manually enter bids because it wastes a whole bunch of time all added up.

Close lol, often I'll be holding and "absorbing" particularly nice antique pieces or a kilo bar before falling asleep, wife makes fun of me for cuddling my silver to bed, no regrets tho lol.

It's not 405g sterling, but 405g total including the brushes and all the weighting resin filler inside the handles.

If you don't understand weighted or composite items like these please stick to solid things like spoons.

Are there generic weights for items in standard sets? Most sellers posting weights in grams are surely savvy to what they are worth and why people are buying. Lots of unweighted dining sets like https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Good-Stunning-Antique-Wm-Hutton-C1890-English-Canteen-Cutlery-Set-Oak-Box-Key/293785966271?hash=item44670216bf%3Ag%3ALpsAAOSwDRZe7fG8&LH_BIN=1

Look more closely at those hallmark stamps, that is just a silver plated set, no proper marks for sterling.

And every manufacturer and style was different so weights for "demitasse spoons" or "tea spoons" can't be safety generalized.
