Balancer Labs creates this silly little instrument that algorithmically trades between cryptocurrencies in a pool. You could use balancer without Sta, but the two projects work together. If you use the balancer, it automatically trades your Sta in and out to get the best prices on some cryptos without you doing anything.

Best part is, as Sta is traded it burns itself and becomes more valuable for everyone involved. Only risk is losing out on a major pump, but the diminished risk of a major crash makes pooling an easier way of making money in crypto without obsessing over every motion.

>> No.23250687

>>23250641
Essentially it’s like an index fund for crypto, a more volatile way of investing with both crazier profits and losses than stocks, and a way to ensure we allmake money. It doesn’t solve the oracle problem, but it does solve the speculative investment and FUD problem — the ultimate problem of crypto as an investor.

i don't understand. so say your statera is being pooled while it pumps. aren't you able to take the statera out and you'd have the same amount you pooled, but with the higher price?

>> No.23250777

>>23250717
No because it’s moving values around. Your liquidity would be split between currencies in the pool, and not be fully infested in sta. It wouldn’t trade fast enough to give the full pump.

I have a 6k infantstack and would like retard-friendly pooling advice

From my understanding, I need an equal $ value amount of STA and ETH to buy Delta, which then goes into the pool. I also understand it’s best to pool after a large pump.
Once I have Delta in a pool, how do I profit off it? Is it based on the % of total Delta you own?

Yes, if you become a liquidity provider for trades of STA/ETH. If the pool is $99k and you add $1k, you own 1% of that pool.

If you notice with all uniswap trades, it will take a 0.3% fee which it gives to the liquidity pool, which essentially just reinvests it for you.

So imagine after the first year, the prices are back to what they were originally for this example. So no changes. If the pool earns $150k in fees that year. You still have your $1,000 but have earnt (1%) $1,500 of the fees. This will be paid in 50% ETH/ 50% STA

APY can range from 40-1000% and depends on the volume being traded. I think it is safe to estimate a conservative average of 120%.

This is why you want to pool when your liquidity is at the highest point
