Which is your favourite and why?

I'm looking to invest in cold storage and i remember there being a great thread made on biz in the past but warosu is currently down so i'm unable to read through it again and i can't remember what the general consensus was

I was wondering what is your personal preference, and your reasoning why, if you have the time i'd love to hear your opinions

Trezor because it's open source. Enjoy the ledger exit scam

i've heard bad things about ledger as a company
something about them not caring about adding something which would improve security when being asked about it
there was no real reason to not do it except incompetence
great product though still, but after hearing that im kind of off put by ledger

This is what I do. I have both, bought the trezor first and I like it better. They both are good. Get one, either one, not your keys - not your coins.

It should be noted that this was from people who purchased from them directly, you do not need to give them either of those things for use. https://www.ledger.com/addressing-the-july-2020-e-commerce-and-marketing-data-breach

But, and pretty much the only argument i see for the ledger, is which one would you rather put in your butthole?

This. I bought an USB and sent my Bitcoins there. 128MB one wasnt enough, because of my massive BTC stack size and the current temporary BTC 1MB block limit. 256MB worked well tho.
Only about 35$. Much cheaper than a Ledger.

I like the trezor t but id like to be able to use aave/uniswap on my android, does ledger let me do this?

No. I've had to hard reset mine 4 times this year because it is barely compatible with electricity let alone software.

I bought a Trezor DESPITE knowing that it got hacked. The Trezor is the only one that is open-source so anything that is discovered can be fixed and reported more easily. It's more in line with the spirit of crypto in this sense. On the hack: You can become immune to the hardware hack by adding the extra seed word and enabling your pin. Nobody is able to hack it if you add that and they don't have physical access to your device.

Ledger on the other hand is closed source and have had customer names and addresses leaked which is pretty damning.

Those names were from a database somewhere, those things get hacked on the regular.
That had nothing to do with the integrity of the wallet device.

Ledger was the way to go for me as I am hopeful that they will leak my address and that someone will come kill me in my sleep.

I've used it for 3 years now. No problems
