I have so many normie friends and coworkers who are wagies who dont know the difference between taxes a w2 pays compared to a business owner but rage about how amazon pays no taxes, many who dont know how the electoral college works but rage when trump wins, dont know how their 401k works, dont know how to manage money, think loans and credit are "free money".

I simply dont get it. like i can understand if its an 18-22 year old college student but so many millenials in their 30s and late 20s are like this as well and it shocks me to the core. they think of the stock market as a casino and dont realize theyre betting 100% on USD and then they complain about inflation and shit.

whenever i try helping some of them with personal finance, they get really bored and want to go shopping or something to talk about it.

I know how taxes work dumbfuck, I still don't want Amazon to pay 0 in income tax, or anyone making 7+ figures for that matter.

If you lose money due to your shitty investments, that's your fucking problem, not uncles sams.

You're the type of faggot who thinks paying taxes is patriotic aren't you?
>you have a DUTY to give Goldstein 50% of your pay every year goy. Be grateful it's only 65%. It's your duty as an American to pay 80% taxes goy, why do you need to keep 10% of your pay away from us? You don't need money anyway goy!

amazon net income is 0 so what would it pay taxes on? someone with 1million net worth but grows it at 7% a year and spends 30k will only pay income tax on the 30k. you know this right?

It's net income is 0 because of shitty deals that cities make with Amazon for the jobs they provide. Cities literally race to the bottom for Amazon, charge them 0 in taxes, and then rent skyrockets and their cities die. See Seattle or LA.

Most people think that it's the governments job to take care of this and that they shouldn't have to. You just need to work hard and save money and if that's not working it's the state that should change. And not just big government people too, people in favor of small government generally think the same way, that 'you just need to shrink government and I will do fine just by saving money and working hard'.

They don't like to learn new things because it would force them confront their own flaws. For instance, if they were to go and push themselves to learn about that stuff, it would force them to confront the fact that they are poor, out of shape, powerless, etc basically a loser.

Reading books about numbers and interest and legislation and US code is boring nerd shit, gotta get spoon fed a narrative without any of that pesky quantitative reasoning as a prerequisite for understanding.

You don't know how taxes work. Amazon is matching every employee's invoice tax, retard

This drove me insane as well but after a while you realize that some people are born to be poor. What is more productive is to figure out which of your friends have even the slightest interest in finances / politics and make them your focus. Don't overwhelm them with info at the beginning; start with babby's first budget and basic redpills. Help them along whenever you can and always give them a chance to stroke their ego. (Bring up their financial successes / newfound political opinions in social setting for example)

In addition to this, even the most clueless normie may one day have a moment where it 'clicks'. If ever you notice this, don't berate or belittle them or remind them of all the times you told them about such and such. Extend a helping hand, and get them started on learning about the mysteries of money.

so what would you recommend to someone who has a decent enough financial literacy, but still doesn't know how to make it, still has a vagues understanding of what to do in live to achieve financial independence. What skill should I learn or which financial sphere to invest in to get a good ROI on the money that I earn from that skill etc ?

Well you're here, so go all in LINK. /g/ called BTC, then /biz/ had ETH and now LINK. It's the missing piece to the puzzle and still has the best risk / reward ratio of any investment opportunity I'm aware of.

As for irl, I dunno what you do or how you live. A simple budget (that you stick to) is something even boomers making $200K fuck up and is the best place to start. Second, come up with a plan for the next year, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years and see where you are going to be financially. Be as realistic as possible. If you're not happy with the path you're on then something is going to have to change.
