Is it a wise decision to exit markets before the U.S. presidential elections? The market is going to tank a bit no matter who wins but it how fast and by how much it recovers depends on who’s elected. So /biz/ should I take out my measly 2k out of alts and jump back in after November or should I just ride out what I have?

Market will only tank if Kamala Harris wins. If trump wins you will see the biggest stock market rally in world history.

The exchanges performed this exit pump to provide investors dumb money to liquidate into.
Take this opportunity to sell and buy back in after the inauguration. I guarantee you the PRICE of assets will be lower then.

You're either an idiot/pajeet and do not realize he's running against biden and Harris is the vp or you are making a joke that "sleepy joe" isn't the one pulling the strings and she is. If it's the latter than you're letting your political leanings cloud your judgment and thus cannot be trusted. You should know better but you're probably some robinhood day trading faggot that just started following the markets. If the former, youre just another anon on this board I suppose.

Trump or biden do not bring any certainty to this winter. If there is a massive bullring it will be extremely short lived and crash soon after. Covid, unemployment, housing moratorium ending, and a host of other factors make the market EXTREMELY volatile. Trump being re elected in a small blip.

The fact that everyone with 100+iq anticipates this, makes me believe its already priced in, and therefore a beartrap/crab no matter which of the faggots win. However, as everyone else, i know nothing, since i have no crystal ball.

I think it means that the black swan thesis needs a new addition--not the black swan, as a true black swan is more sudden, and truly unpredictable.
What we see now, and what we saw with COVID, was a slow-rolling train headed straight towards society.
It doesn't require particular foresight. Chinese society descended into complete chaos and totalitarianism as a result of COVID, yet Western markets (And Chinese, for that matter, as they are rigged) remained positive. You didn't have to be a genius to figure out that there was a storm brewing in Februrary, and a few made billions off puts.
Now, we find ourselves in a similar predicament. We all mutually agree that November is going to absolute chaos, with two people claiming victory, and undoubtedly will result in civil unrest, destruction, and supreme court cases.
Trump has made it clear he won't accept the election results if he loses. Investors understand this will cause volatility, yet the markets are cruising.

> U.S. presidential elections
You wouldn’t know which country I was taking about if I just wrote “the elections”. America isn’t the only country in the world, but it sure is an economic power. I’m not even American I’m from Peru. Pues que cres? Que los americanos so los unicos que usan los 4chins?

Yeah the stock market will dip no matter who wins but it might be a dump or just a tiny dip before it corrects, but one thing is for sure the person who is president during the time corona “dies” will have that attributed to their legacy

There's gonna be volalitiilty but in a 4 month time frame it wont matter. If you exit you will find it difficult timing the re-entry, you might lose out on a massive pump. If you hold you are pretty much guaranteed to profit.

No shit I’m going to buy the dip but is it like buying link post defi? When the bottom never ends or is it like buying link post March lockdown?
