Areas of supports are, roughly speaking, where the buy orders are located. If nobody is buying anymore at that price, there is probably nobody buying for a long way down. Specifically why there is nobody buying in the range between the gaps is mostly a result of the multiparty game between retail, MMs, institutions, and whales. You might also notice that there are many "suspicious levels": where support, resistance, or the wicks hit precise numbers like $50 or $23.5 (instead of $49.87 or $23.27) with greater strength. This usually happens because when you call to get a fill, you usually say "fill me at about $50", not "fill me at precisely $50.02". Needless to say, retail doesn't do these kinds of calls.

>> No.23164037

>>23163981
Strictly speaking, no. The location items (50% retrace, at support) are good. The context items (consolidation, downtrend breaking) are good. But there is no confirmation yet. You want to see at least 2 higher highs and 2 higher lows (you can buy the second higher low) before calling it. Bonus points whenever the bounces take out previous levels of support (like the pivot around 12.5 and the next one around 13.0 on that chart). If on the other hand there is no successful higher high (example it goes up to 12.4 before heading back down), this may be a confirmation of weakness (check other timeframes to get a better idea) and may result in a break of the support, which would be deadly at this stage (could head straight back to $9.5 in a day, unlikely at it looks right now).

I was stating the truth, a fact.

Don't change goal posts here. You screwed up, and I could almost bet money on the fact that if GME does go up in some relation to this (which it probably will to some degree, if it already hasn't), you'll somehow relate it to this egregious assumption you've made, thinking yourself some kind of good investor. That's all. Good luck either way, but I hope you get some sense. Cheers.

A bit of advice for GME anons, who I've come to love. If you put in a sell order at like 89 bucks or something way high, MMs can't use your shares to short. They are generally collateral for loaning out to shorts, but this prevents that from happening. If everyone did it, shares would be impossible to find. Well, assuming the float is locked up, which it's not. But hey every bit helps.

Middle or end of 2021.
Remember the RKT earnings dump? Investors don't care about big console sales if there's no future growth. They need to see growth potential.
The two year Game Pass subscriptions and five year deal with MSFT was big enough for a 50% rally for a reason.
If _subscription growth_ is decent quarter to quarter, that's when we'll see normalization of the market cap and $40 or $50 a share.
It's going to take ages.
There is going to so much bobo posting.

For longs, my recommendations would be:
-NOVS (see AppHarvest)
-I personally like BACpB (preferred shares, over 5% dividends)
-VZ (if you want really long)
-SFNC (moderate risk, upper quartile)
-NSRGY (Nestle)
-MNDO (consistent cash flows, 10+% dividend)
-FNB (similar profile to SFNC to some degree)
-CVCY
-SCCC (SACH notes, 9.86% dividend as per TDA)

There's a few others, but these are just the medium high-moderate, to low-moderate choices. In terms of intra-weekly plays, that's on you. These were all picked out based off of one or more of the following: financials, balance sheet strength, EPS (and by as a precursor, net revenue) statistics or data, cash flows, cash flow reliability, market valuation of asset statistics, market position of the companies themselves, and so on. There's obviously a large number of factors that *should*, in my opinion go into longs, and I like to get nitty gritty with them. Good luck to you either way.

Yea I think that there is a high chance of a crash after console release or Q3 as people who are in it for the short term will sell after getting disappointed that the suqeeze has not happened. Even multiple strong catalysts (Cohen and MSFT) was not enough to spark it off because there is still widespread uncertainty surrounding GME's future.
