You can always add on dips if you're feeling adventurous.

If you have really high risk tolerance you can buy some 10/9 OTM calls ($15 probably max) on any dip. Even if you lose (certainly possible) the delta hedge you force on MM will be delicious.

I still recommend against this however and will always stick to recommending Jan and April calls

So, the point of options was originally “risk aversion”... kinda like an insurance policy.
You’d buy a “protective put” — the expected value is negative. BUT, you alleviate the risk of absolutely losing the money of all your clients... which is the bigger concern for many hedgies.
Hedgies are not actually supposed to beat the market. They’re supposed to mildly underperform, but “hedge” their risks — providing an investment avenue between stocks and bonds for the highly wealthy.
This is of course not how it’s working today though...

A few days ago, I don't remember the gist of the DD.
I do know that RR carries an significant amount of risk. RR Deutschland, who carries out engine contracts with the MOD (engines are their main business; the cars are basically irrelevant) are mainly based in Germany and Canada (I believe). They, like many other defence contractors, have historic fraud and corruption charges against them that were waved away and settled out of court so governments could still contract with them - there is plenty more opportunity for cases to come to light. Also, fleets around the world in use are almost certainly currently smaller than they were pre-Covid, this means much less maintenance and work for RR is required, in addition to sales. Lastly, the MOD is going for more 'lean sourcing' and is contracting heavily with the US via FMS or through US contractors, and most of these upcoming procurements won't use RR engines.
I believe that RR anon identified that the stock was highly undervalued and made money on a 3x, but personally I would avoid buying RR. Best of luck to you if you do.

On second though I'm not too sure about Canada, that may be where a key part of their supply chain is rather than actual RR business, I can't be bothered to look it up desu. Also, RR is obviously heavily in shipbuilding but I wouldn't put any money into anything to do with shipbuilding due to chronic underspend.
If you want to go long for when the airline industry booms and suddenly wants to order new aircraft with RR engines on that might not be a terrible idea. May be waiting a while though.
