Love this new normal. I’ve been working from home for a few years with the occasional contract that requires me to be on site. Now the whole company is WfH. At first things were crazy with 12hr days but things seem to have normalized where everyone packs in as many meetings and emails between 9a and 2p. Seems that way for my accounts too. Thats good that you have Python and R experience. Try to take a look into Pandas as well. I would also recommend pirating a copy of Tableau (I have the 2019 version I ripped off of piratebay -- a license is like $1000). Honestly the best advice I can give is look at 'Analytics' type resumes and just manipulate your personal experience into fitting the slot for a data analyst job. You have an ME degree so you're obviously not a dummy. Brush up a bit on your excel experience. PowerBI, etc. Become a pivot table god. Not sure of your excel background but if you don't know how to do a VLOOKUP even then you really need to watch a few excel videos. I just have a basic bitch Information Systems degree. Actually wanted to go into Cyber Sec originally but wound up in Data, I only say that to show that it shouldn't be too difficult for you to be able to transition over.

I work two jobs from home. One full time, one part time. Part time job is flexible so I could do both at the same time, but I don't wanna take my chances and lose my main job which is great. During my part time job, I workout, go for runs outside, drive out to pickup lunch and do other shit while I'm on the clock. It's great. My full time job I stay at home because I need to be there if my phone rings, but it rarely does so I mostly watch TV shows/movies and play video games and get paid. Pretty great. Once COVID is done with, there are talk of letting us work from home 2-3 days and then work in the office the other 2-3 days. I'm okay with that, because my office coworkers are bros with shared interests and I miss talking about vidya with them and stuff.
