The issue is that bitcoin is taking a huge dump as well which naturally affects dogecoin in buying power. We're more tied to it than it is healthy still. 119 is a good price to buy at sure but I would wait maybe two days and see what happens.

So, yesterday for our work lunch order, I had one of my coworkers pay in doge. Everyone in the office was really interested and like "Really? He really paid you with a virtual currency? Whaaaat?"

I helped him get his mining rig set up a month or so ago, and so when he didn't have any money on him he offered me Dogecoin and of course I took it. Just thought I'd share that little story with you guys, like I said my office was all talking about it and there was hype.

I like the idea of having a donation "drive"
Right now I'm relying on tips that people will give on their own will, not having a set amount needed but for the next act of charity I want to be able to provide some food source along with the supply care package.
Maybe like a 10 dollar subway gift card or some other fast food place gift card.
Hopefully someone will come along and drop a big doge tip towards the homeless.
I think the reactions will definitely be more exciting as well.

Frozen Funds

In preparation of the following, we have with immediate effect stopped the possibilities to withdraw BTC, LTC, FTC and TRC. All incoming deposits will also not be credited to the users accounts for the time being.

On 24th March 2014 we will be freezing the current BTC, LTC, TRC and FTC accounts, then perform the below distribution of the available coins and reenable deposits and withdrawals. This action will also require us to delete all open sell orders for BTC, LTC, FTC and TRC.

As you may very well be aware, we had two incidents last year that lead to a loss of a significant number of BTC, LTC, FTC, TRC. We had communicated at that time that we will be covering those losses from our income, which we have done so far. We had enough coin balances in our cold wallet to upkeep our platform and the positive cashflow enabled us to gradually refill the wallets.

Unfortunately we had large fund withdrawals in the last weeks which have lead to a complete depletion of our cold wallet balance and we are now facing the option of either closing the site with significant unrecoverable losses for all or to work out a solution that allows the exchange to continue to operate and gradually pay back the losses.

We have obviously chosen the later and hence are going to do the following:
1. We will introduce an additional balance type called "Frozen Funds". Funds in this balance type cannot be used to trade or withdraw. Those are the balances that the exchange will gradually pay back and hence transfer back to the available balance over time.
2. We will move all current balances for BTC, LTC, TRC and FTC to the "Frozen Balance", i.e. your balance will be set to 0.
3. We'll take the current available cold storage balance and distribute it based on the below described distribution logic.
4. Monthly we will take the net profit of the exhchange and credit back that amount distributed to the users based on the described distribution logic.

This approach has the advantages that

fund withdrawals from the available funds are guaranteed, no surprises or unecessary delays

- literally TONS of new altcoins every day

- scrypt ASICs mass produced and already mining in HUGE ASS FARMS
- tons of people panic selling doges

- dogecoin devs getting too smug
- quite a lot of incompetence in the dev team

ALL THIS and doge is stable for days at ~120.

this is a fucking serious situation and doge is still amazingly stable.
if there were not the problems I stated, doge would probably be over 400 already but on we could have been really dead by now already.

overall this coin may not technically really different to other alts but its history made it to something special that actually DOES have future.
even haters can't deny that dogecoin achieved lots of things many people didn't expect.

I already posted this in fellow PND thread, but I thouht I'd share with you as well.

I'm developing a small webapp that will let you build your personal dashboard. Other sites decide how you should view the data you want. With this you decide how you want to view your data.

It's a very eraly stage for now, like a proof-of-concept. You are welcome to try it out, tho.

One you're there you need to register first, then login.
Then you will be presented with a default layout. You can change that as you see fit, but REMEBER TO SAVE your layout with every change (floppy button, top right).

There is ONLY ONE FUNCTION that kinda works, and that's "charts". You can display as many as you want, in whatever size you want. Add them with top right menu, then set your trading pair with the "cog" button on the chart. There are some 300 trading pairs, all actual live data from Swisscex.
