how do i get started trading?
is $2k enough to get started?
i am a total novice, i don't even know what a stock is and i don't know what i need to know to begin

If you only have 2k it's better for you to get into crypto rather than with stocks. And if you don't know, you'd better at least watch YouTube videos like short summaries of what a market is or what determines supply and demand. The basic stuff

Do you understand any subject, field or industry? To make money buying financial assets (stocks, contracts etc) you need to be able to anticipate where value will be and buy a piece before it realises that value. I'm a beginner too and only playing with basic assets. The complex leveraged stuff is way too tricky and dangerous for a beginner.

Basically, you buy crypto in hopes that it's worth will increase. Then you sell it. Or you hold for a very long time.

The value of crypto is derived specifically from how many other people are purchasing/selling the crypto and for how much.

Contracts for difference, options ETFs all being complex.

I'd call stock, resources (metals, land/property, collectables) and bonds all simple investments

The worst thing you can do is spend a good chunk of that on txn fee when you trade with projects on Eth. Be a smart guy and put all of that in Radix's sale which will be happening in the next few days
