you don't start here. that's for sure... you end up here when you know a little about it all. Or you might just come here to maybe catch something out of the ordinary.

otherwise this place is pajeet scams, and chainlink junkies.

If you start thinking about it there aren't actually that many projects worthy of holding. The most important problem that's holding crypto from mass adoption is the scaling problem. Some projects are way ahead than others in that regard.
Let's start with ETH
https://decrypt.co/43763/vitalik-buterin-ethereums-nearly-unusable-for-many-app-types

It was stated by Vitalik, that fully implementing ETH 2.0 will take 5-10 years. Which means, that ETH is pretty much unusable. It doesn't scale for current needs, and we're only using it for trading shitcoins on uniswap.

The other project I'd like to mention is Polkadot. People that are working on it are actually concerned about scaling issues. That's why they spent 3 years and millions of dollars to create a technology, that is utilizing sharding. Thanks to it it might be possible to scale it to 1.000.000 tx/s, which would easily be enough for the whole crypto industry, and maybe even more. It's also new, still didn't took off, and is DeFi friendly.

The last scalable solution that I know of is BSV. It scales at a pace of moore's law, but the whole space despises it. It's a good long term hold, and it's mid term TA looks great, but it won't take off without Craig proving, that he's Satoshi, or some big company starting to utilize it.

There is an interesting thread going on. Check it out
>>23021945
It's impossible to keep on with multiple projects, especially if you're new. I'd keep my eyes on Dot and BSV. Cosmos is interesting as well, and some other coins mentioned in that thread. Don't listen to LINK and XRP shills. They have no idea what they're talking about. Especially LINK one, as it's going downhill from the top.
