If you're salaried, then there's nothing stopping your boss from piling a shit ton of work on you for the same pay. Let's say you make 50k a year salary, and they pile 80k a year worth of work onto you. You get fucked. You're better off having a good job that pays hourly if you can find one.

Nothing, really. Not everyone has to become a succesful business owner. The problem is there is so much bullshit in certain aspects. I believe wagie cagies have to do more hours than actually necessary in a modern society. Also the fact that if you want to have a family, you are likely to need both parents to work, which generates a wider societal problem where parents can barely raise their kids, which instead end up being raised by someone else, be it thr government, a baby sitter, or grandma and grandpa.

Depends on the kind of work and the salary. If it's an interesting and fulfilling job that gives you a lot of creative freedom, guaranteed you are high IQ and don't want to take the risk of starting your own business. A benefit of living in a (((society))) is that we can pay somebody else to procure things things for us for far less effort than it would take to procure them ourselves.
