We don't need a monero thread on here 24/7 although you are smart to look for one. Monero is a great coin and Monero-chan is very cute.

Kucoin hacker, defi scammers, and everybody else are realizing the need for private transactions.
The largest DNM, WhiteHouseMarket, is beginning to gain traction and they only accept XMR.
A lot of sell pressure from early whales and miners has finally been exhausted. It has been 2358 days since the genesis block. BTC was only $242 at the same point in its' timeline.

XMR/BTC just broke out above the 100 week Moving Average for the first time since June 2016. The June 2016 breakout was when it started going parabolic due to listing on Alphabay, the largest DNM at the time.

kek. Fluffypony selling XMR to buy an $884k Richard Mille watch is a good example of sell pressure from early whales and miners.
It takes years for them to slowly diversify their investment until their sell pressure is exhausted. Same process we saw with BTC. XMR has a similar supply and it has followed a similar trajectory so far.

Dynamic block size means there is no cap on blocks. Monero has blocks every two minutes. Once your transaction gets into a block then it’s good.
Dynamic fees will keep fees low in the long term. Fees will actually decrease as transactions go up.
Tail emission preserves the mining network. It maintains a block reward to incentivize miners to maintain the network.

I think you guys must have zero comprehension of how bitcoin works and how monero works.
>hurr monero is private I must act like a hacker at all times to use it
It's actually the opposite. You have to be paranoid when using btc because everything is traceable. With xmr you can relax because even if you tell someone your name, they only see the xmr you show them.

That is right. Here's a basic explanation of what's happening:
https://localmonero.co/knowledge/monero-outputs
It sounds like you received 17 XMR into your wallet in one transaction. If you want to spend that output, you need to send all 17 somewhere, so you will send 1 to whomever and the rest back to yourself as change.

There are no technical obstacles to implementing any of it in Bitcoin. But Bitcoin's block size will never increase because Blockstream & friends want Bitcoin to remain broken so they can sell fixes, and they control the major online communities where Bitcoin is discussed. So many Bitcoiners believe that 1MB blocks forever are necessary for "decentralization", and also that hard forking in general is of the devil. Independently of that, tail emission will never happen on Bitcoin because its main appeal today is "money printing BAD, 21 gorillion forever."

Why is it legal for a government agency like the IRS to offer up bounty for people to hack a privately owned commodity?

I mean if you owned 200k in monero, and the IRS made it worthless overnight, what the fuck? Are they allowed to put out a bounty on Tesla because they think electric cars are shit?

Are they actually though? Given the billions corporations don't pay annually due to loopholes, is THAT much money in taxes being lost to Monero?

Or is it more just the threat and lack of control.

FUcking IRS faggots.
