diablo 2 was epic lol. i played for awhile again about a year ago, but got bored due to obtaining enough runes/good gear to be dominant, within a few weeks. back in the day, there were a lot more people and less bots, so it took awhile to get to that point. oh well lol.

Wtf are you talking about? I had a PK necromancer on hardcore mode, in the mid 40s (gameplay tapers off a bit for pvp on HC if you go too high. People get sketched.) and he wasn't primarily a summoner... just enough skellies and a golem to serve as distractions and make the best of +skill gear like a soj, while focusing on bone spirit and bone prison/walls. Have to use both to be mana efficient.
Iron maiden + bone wall/prison kills most barbarians while in whirlwind.
Above will trap a paladin but not kill him, worthless against hammerdins except to buy time and keep distance.
But in the end... nobody really thinks to stock up on magic resistance items, because it's not seen as practical and doesn't show up well on your resistances stats.... so Bone Spirit is almost pure damage, and some decent poison will be a good assist.
Druid seemed more my playstyle though.

That's only useful against characters who are way lower level though, unless the player lags like a motherfucker when transitioning to new areas. If only I had my vengeance paladin that maxed out the aura that lowers resistances it next to your's.
Really nothing beats a party of paladins other than a party of almost all paladins, 1 barbarian, 1 druid, and a full stack of act 2 henchmen.

People developed hacks that duped items, or bots to farm items so people ran stores selling things like high runes, sojs, other rare uniques or godly rares. There was even a method early on to bring in items from open bnet which is why there were things like white rings and other 'bugged' items.

Amazon was actually pretty intense to play if you weren't into large parties. Huge variety of builds compared to anyone but the paladin and perhaps the druid if we count builds that aren't viable but will get you through. It's also one of the only classes to steadily get stronger instead of just nerfed to shit.

Way less fun than the Javazon though. Lightning, poison, melee capable, gets to use a shield.... but the javazon was a bitch to use because no magic throwing weapons until the expansion, so it was all about the skills, like having a spellcaster that needed ammo.

Find me something that works like the infinity/aurora engine, or a way to license it out, but preferably with better multiplayer capabilities. I can say with confidence that I could build in the engines used for nwn, dragon age, and the witcher, because I've used them before, back when I didn't know jack shit about coding. Now I can code, should be way faster.
